Colour Inkspiration #83

I am a little bit late in posting this, as the colour challenge actually finished a week ago, but better late than never! I enjoy taking part in colour challenges. They sometimes push me out of my comfort zone and force me to work with colours that aren’t my regular go-to colours, and other times inspire me to use combinations that I hadn’t considered.

This challenge forced me to do both. Green isn’t one of my favourite colours, but this combination really works well together. I was very excited to be placed in the top 5 of the entries for this challenge.

Below is my Facebook Live video showing how I made these cards.

Celebrate Sunflowers for Colour INKspiration

I haven’t played along in a colour challenge for a while. When I saw these colours, I couldn’t resist!

Anyone who knows me knows that these are so totally my colours!! I have been playing with the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set, matching dies and my new favourite split card technique, and this is the end result….

Who said that sunflowers have to be yellow?
I LOVE this colour combination and I am going to be making a few more cards using these colours. If you decide to play along, please share your creations.

Rise and Shine colour challenge

I hope that everyone is healthy and finding lots of crafting to do to pass the time. I decided to take up the colour challenge on Colour Inkspiration on FaceBook. You can have a look at their page
They post a picture and then list the colours in the picture for the challenge.

My interpretation of these colours:

I have been wanting to try the latest craze – “scrappy strips” and thought that the colours would work well with this. I used the Sale-A-Bration second release Rise & Shine stamp set which co-ordinates with the Cup of Cheer dies. Remember this stamp set is only available as a free level 2 item when you spend $180. If you want this, you will need to be quick as Sale-A-Bration ends on the 31st March.

During this difficult period, you can occupy your time locked at home by doing crafts. Stampin’ Up! is still operating, and anything that you order can be delivered directly to your door. Browse my online store or contact me by email or my FaceBook page if you need some assistance.

Stay well, stay healthy and keep crafting
