Thank you for joining us for the December 2021 Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Party Time!” As we approach the end of the year, I think that everybody is ready to party- either to celebrate the end of 2021 or to welcome in 2022. The last 2 years have been hard, and we are all hoping that 2022 is going to be getting back to a new normal.

I have made a Z-fold card using the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set and Love you More Than dies with the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. The sentiment is cut from the (soon to be retired) Black Glitter Paper and Word Wishes dies

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Below is the list of all the hop participants. Be sure to visit them all to see what Party Times they have to share. We love hearing from you, so please leave us comments to let us know what you think about our projects. From all of us on the Stampin’ Creative team, we wish you a safe and happy New Years’ Eve and everything of the best for 2022.

12 Weeks of Christmas – Week 10

I recently took part in a Facebook event which was focused on Christmas projects. My project is a gift box which is filled with tags and notelets. It uses the Whimsy & Wonder suite which is retiring. The stamps and dies are still available, but unfortunately the DSP is sold out. You can use any DSP that you have on hand to make up the project. It does take a bit of time to complete the project, but the results are worth the effort. I have given a few boxes as gifts and the recipients have been super excited to receive them.

Here is a Facebook live video to make the box

12 Weeks of Christmas – Week 9

Can you believe that 3 weeks today will be Christmas? Where has this year gone?
I participated in an online event for Black Saturday. In that event, I demonstrated a card with a gift box that fits into the top of the card. For today’s post, I have made this project in Christmas colours.

You could use this to put a small gift into the box or instead of the Christmas greeting, why not put a name on it, and use them as place cards for Christmas lunch or dinner? A small gift or some chocolate in the box, and everyone is happy!

The video below is the unedited Facebook live from the event. It shows the project made using the Artistic Impressions suite, but change up the greeting and the DSP and make it fit whatever occasion you like. (Anyone getting engaged? A diamond ring in the box would definitely get you a yes!)

12 Weeks Of Christmas – Week 7

Last year when we were in our first lockdown, the company that i work for send us a lovely surprise – a gift hamper that came in a beautiful tin. As soon as I saw the tin, I knew that I wanted to recreate it in paper.

I did an online event for Black Friday, and demonstrated my gift box based on that tin at that event. The Facebook live of that presentation is below. Poinsettia petals is still available, and (as you might have noticed) one of my favourite sets! If you package a gift in this box, the box will bring as much delight to the recipient as what is inside it!

I am participating in a Black Friday event again this year. It will however be Saturday in Asutalia when I present. It seems that Black Friday has become a whole long weekend. Friday is followed by Social Saturday (perfect for crafting) and then Cyber Monday. If you are a customer and are not part of the November Woo Hoo Weekend Facebook group, please contact me and I will send you an invitation.

There is a great sign up special on until the end of November, you can sign up as a demonstrator for $130 (usually $169) and choose $235 worth of products for your starter kit! Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Whimsy & Wonder

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “December Holidays”. As we have been in lockdown for so long, I feel like everyone is behind where we usually are on making Christmas cards. This one lets the DSP make the statement with a few fun elements added.

I love the Whimsy & Wonder suite. The Christmas trees are fun images and the DSP is amazing. I know lots of people who spent time during lockdown doing puzzles, so that skill comes into this card. I cut out four trees – two in Evening Evergreen and two in Soft Succulent. Place a strip of tear and tape down the back of the tree. Take the pieces from the Soft Succulent and place them into the Evening Evergreen tree and vice versa. I stuck one tree onto the inside of the card, and the last one onto the envelope.

Be sure to complete the hop to see all the wonderful ideas that we have to share with you. The next stop is Annette. I can’t wait to see what she has created this month.

12 Weeks Of Christmas – Week 6

It is scary to think that we are at the half way point in this series, in 6 weeks time it will be Christmas!! I am away this week end at the Stampin’ Up! annual convention. It is a virtual event, but as we are out of lockdown a group of demonstrator friends decided to get together and spend some time during a virtual event together! Whenever we get together we make cards to swap with each other. I made my swap card (I’ll past it at then end) and then decided to do a Christmas version of the same card

I used the stitched triangles to make main design. The DSP and mat are cut using the same triangle and I carefully cut the DSP triangle just inside the stitched line. The poinsettia was heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

I put a strip of the same DSP on the bottom of the insert.

This is the card that I made for my swap. This once uses Blackberry Beauty DSP and the Dragonfly punch. I needed a masculine card, so I used the same design with Eden Garden DSP

12 weeks of Christmas – Week 5 with Tidings of Christmas

This week I am using the Tidings & Trimmings bundle and Tidings of Christmas DSP. This is another one of those cards where you have to make 2 together.

I cut my piece of DSP 10cm x 10cm (4″ x 4″) and then cut it in half on the diagonal. Now that you have 2 pieces of DSP, you have to make 2 cards. If the DSP is non-directional, you can make the cards identical. This piece doesn’t really have a specific direction, but some of the leaves didn’t look right upside down. That is why I used one piece in the bottom corner and one in the opposite top corner. You could also flip it over and use the reverse side of the DSP, but I liked this side.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Blessings Of Home

Thank you for joining us for the October 2021 Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Nature’s Beauty”. This theme is wide open, but I have decided to give you a sneak peek of a suite, Heart & Home which will be in the new mini catalogue. This stamp set has a large floral image and a smaller bouquet.

I stamped the flowers onto vellum with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. They were coloured in with my Stampin’ Blends and cut out with the coordinating dies. Below is the card with the large image.

The DSP is Heart and Hone which is part of the suit. The one side has coloured floral and leafy images, and the reverse side has different wood grain textures in grey and white. If you love these cards, add them to the top of your wish list to order in January when the new catalogue goes live!

12 Weeks of Christmas – Poinsettia Petals

For this week’s card I have used the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and the Poinsettia dies. I was so pleased that this carried over from last year, because it makes beautiful cards.

Sometimes cards start as a small idea in my head, and then take on a life of their own. I knew that I wanted to use the poinsettias, and I wanted non-traditional colours. (I seem to be leaning away from traditional Christmas colours this year). I was looking through the Ombre Specialty Paper (which is glittery and each sheets gives a gradient of the colour), and the purple caught my attention. You may never see another purple and white poinsettia, but it works for me. What do you think about this colouring?
