Rise and Shine colour challenge

I hope that everyone is healthy and finding lots of crafting to do to pass the time. I decided to take up the colour challenge on Colour Inkspiration on FaceBook. You can have a look at their page https://www.facebook.com/groups/349642308720075/
They post a picture and then list the colours in the picture for the challenge.
Below is the picture for this challenge

My interpretation of these colours:

I have been wanting to try the latest craze – “scrappy strips” and thought that the colours would work well with this. I used the Sale-A-Bration second release Rise & Shine stamp set which co-ordinates with the Cup of Cheer dies. Remember this stamp set is only available as a free level 2 item when you spend $180. If you want this, you will need to be quick as Sale-A-Bration ends on the 31st March.

During this difficult period, you can occupy your time locked at home by doing crafts. Stampin’ Up! is still operating, and anything that you order can be delivered directly to your door. Browse my online store or contact me by email or my FaceBook page if you need some assistance.

Stay well, stay healthy and keep crafting

Little Ladybug meets Honey Bee

About 3 weeks ago (when life was still normal), I met a friend for coffee. I was expecting it to be a sit down coffee, but she had to get back to the office, so we did take away. As I wasn’t expecting to do take away, i didn’t have my keep cup with me, so I had to get a take away cup (which I try to avoid as much as possible)

The cup was so cute! It had daisies and bees printed on it and was screaming at me to make a card. I wasn’t very good company during that coffee, as my mind was working overtime imagining that card.

I have put that cup away safely, so that I had it to use for my card, and I don’t know where I have put it!! Unfortunately I can’t share my inspiration with you, but I can share the finished card.
I used the Little Ladybug stamp set for the flowers, which is a host set available for Sale-A-Bration. The bees are from the Honey Bee stamp set, and the sentiment from the Tags In Bloom whcih is part of the Sale-A-Bration second release.
Sale-A-Bration ends on the 31st March, so if there are any items that you still want, be sure to get your order in.

During this difficult time, we can use our isolation to do crafts. The best thing is to receive a handmade card in you post box. If you live in Australia and don’t have a demonstrator I would love to help you with your crafting needs. Feel free to contact me, or you can shop at my online store
Stay safe, stay healthy, keep crafting

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Simple and Elegant with Flowering Foils

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is Happy Birthday. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has a fabulous project to show to us!

With all the craziness in the world at the moment, we all need something to brighten our day. My answer to spreading happiness is to send a card. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t get a warm fuzzy when a hand made card arrives in their post box. The most common reason for sending cards is birthdays.

We are nearing the end of Sale-A-Bration and are onto the second release. I have used the new Flowering Foils Specialty DSP and the So very Vellum Specialty DSP. I fussy cut the flowers from the DSP to stick onto my cards.

As the vellum comes in 3 gorgeous colours, and I couldn’t decide which one I liked best, I had to do cards using all of them! Which one is your favourite?

Makeover Monday – Thoughtful Blooms

When I saw the Thoughtful Blooms and Small Blooms punch in this year’s
Sale-A-Bration catalogue, I immediately thought of the Petite Petals stamp set and punch and I knew that this is a set that needed to be used in a makeover.

I looked through my old catalogues, but nothing was appealing to me. After a google search, I found a card that I loved. The original is an easel card that was made by Margaret Knight. You can see her original blog post here.
I decided not to do an easel card, but I did use her design. I inadvertently used multiple products in my makeover. Margaret had used A Nice Cuppa stamp set and Cups and Kettle dies on her card. I used Tea Together stamp set and Tea Time framelets on my card

I also embossed the back mat with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. I used the sentiment from the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set, but I can see this working really well as a Mother’s Day or get well card. You can find the complete list of products used in this project in my online store, or listed individually below

Let me know what you think of this makeover.

Make Over Monday – Dressed to Impress

I decided that I was going to go through my old Stampin’ Up! catalogues and find cards that were made with retired stamp sets and give them a makeover to use them with current sets.

This is a photo that I found in the 2013 annual catalogue that was made using the Dress Up stamp, and this is my re-make. I also decided to play along with a colour challenge which was using Pretty Peacock, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Grapefruit Grove.

Do you like my new and updated version of this card? I paper pieced the shoes using scraps of the Birthday Bonanza DSP

I am going to try and make this a regular Monday feature, so pop back next week to see which stamp set has gotten a makeover

Here is the project I am sharing with you today!

My husband came home with this key ring that he purchased for Remembrance Day last year. The first thought that went through my mind when I saw it was “I want to make a card like that”. I was so excited when the new mini catalogue came out and I saw the poppies on the cover!

I used both the Painted Poppies and the Peaceful Moments bundles. I stamped the poppy with Versamark onto the background of the card and embossed the sentiment with Shimmer White embossing powder. If you are also inspired by this key ring, I would love to see what you create.
