Festive Friday #FF0210 -Balloon Festoon

Thanks for joining us for this Festive Friday challenge. Have you ever played along with Festive Friday? There is a new challenge every second Friday. The challenge has an overall theme plus an inspiration list. You choose at least three of the inspiration elements and make a project. I am a bit obsessed with the Balloon Festoon bundle at the moment. This is what regularly seems to appear in my hand when I am making cards. The inspo items in this card are primary colours, epoxy embellishments, balloons (I’m taking a bit of poetic license here and ignoring the hot air part of that item), clouds and birthday sentiment.

We have the prefect stamp sets to be using for Mother Ocean Day – Rolling Waves and Relaxing Waterside. (Relaxing Waterside is the suite that we will be using for the next Creativity Abounds Stamp Camp on the 11th July. I’ll have all the information about that Stamp Camp posted in the next few days). Festive Friday #0207 – Delicate Whispers Sympathy Card

When I was looking at this inspo list, the thought that came to mind was a sympathy card. It might have been because I needed one at the time…….

The inspo items that I used are sepia colours, twine, distressing techniques, vellum and thinking of you sentiment (I couldn’t find a sympathy sentiment in my stamps the day I was working on this card).

Festive Friday #FF0206 – Unicorn Card

I got brave for this card, and made my own unicorn! The inspo item I used are bright colours, coloured twine, sparkle gems, unicorns and stars.

I started with a rectangle in Basic White and one in Gold Foil. I cut the gold foil into a triangle and stuck it behind the rectangle. I used the leaf from the Coneflower Celebrations dies and hand cut it to be a bit more rounded. The inside of the ears was the same die cut a bit smaller.
I drew the eyelashes free hand with a Basic Black Stampin’ Blend.

Festive Friday #204 – Lifetime Of Love

My card used six of the ten inspo items – green, yellow, green gems, twine, splatter and gold foil. I couldn’t resist putting the flowers from the Lifetime Of Love stamp set and dies with the Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder which will be available from the 3rd March.

My card has nothing to do with St Patrick’s Day, but I have a friend whose birthday was at the beginning of the month. Green is her favourite colour, and I am VERY late in sending a card to her. This one is in the post and will hopefully be with her soon!

I’m giving you a sneak peek of a new stamp set that will be available in the Online Exclusives release that will be available from the 3rd March – it is a called Delicate Whispers. My card uses red, black, gold, heat embossing and envelope from the inspo list.

There is a surprise when the card opens, hidden underneath the envelope flap is a gate fold.

This stamp set does come in a bundle with matching dies and is beautiful. I am using it in a Stamp Camp on the 11th April. This is the Avid Crafting Collective Stamp Camp that I do with Julia Quinn and Jan Clothier. For more details about the Stamp Camp, click here.

Festive Friday #FF201 – Endless Love

The beginning of the year is when my mind goes to Valentine’s Day cards. As no one needs a whole pile of Valentine’s cards, I tend to try to think about changing the design into a wedding or engagement card. My go to bundle for any love occasion is Endless Love. The inspo items I used are: white, silver, rhinestones, fancy fold, heat embossing and wedding sentiment.

This is the project that I contributed this month:

I am starting a new project with Diane Evans in Canada. Any orders over $75 will receive a card kit and tutorial to make four cards. This month’s kit uses the Sunflower Fields suite and has two standard and two fun fold cards. If you don’t have the Radiant Sunflowers bundle you can use any floral bundle and sentiments to complete your cards.
