Share It Sunday – Seasons Of Chic

Thank you for joining us for our Sunday blog hop (of course in Australia this goes live at 2:00am Monday morning, but it is a great start to the working week when we wake up!) There is no theme for this hop, it is for each of us to choose what project we want to share.
I have been working on a relatively simple but very effective fun fold card and having lots of fun playing with the Texture Chic suite. If you haven’t seen this suite yet, you are missing out! The DSP is awesome!

Diagonal Easel Fold Kits In The Mail

The new annual catalogue goes live today!! Do you have your wish list ready? I have been working with 11 other demonstrators, and we have started a new collaboration which will start this month. Each month we are creating a new fun fold tutorial. The tutorial has instructions to make the card, and examples of 12 different versions of that card.

I am going to make up kits which can be purchased (in Australia) for $12 per month (including postage). Each kit will contain the card stock and embellishments to make 2 cards. You will also get the PDF of the tutorial and a link to an unlisted video demonstrating how to make up your kit.

The tutorial this month is for a diagonal easel card.

The cards this month are all featuring pansies. The kit contains the card stock and DSP for 2 cards. There are 8 pansies and 6 leaves (assorted colours) and a strip of iridescent rhinestones. I used the Pansy patch stamp set (you can use any sentiments that you have on hand). If you want to make more of these cards you can stamp the pansies and cut them out with the coordinating Pansy dies. You will need ink pads, Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhesive to complete the cards. Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Let’s Set Sail

Thank you for joining us for this Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Masculine Makes” We all seem to find masculine cards a bit more challenging. There are so many beautiful floral stamp sets, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to making feminine cards, but we battle to make cards for the men in our lives. Fortunately, there are some lovely masculines stamp sets that are available at the moment. One of my favourites is Let’s Set Sail. As an added bonus, you can bundle it with the Sailboat Builder punch.

Easter Blog Hop

A couple of weeks ago Genna Gifford from The Stamper’s Mess invited me over to peruse the new catalogue. (If you haven’t heard of Genna, visit her Facebook page here to see her awesome work.) She asked if I wanted to make a card, and of course the answer is never no! We made this cute Easter card which is the perfect project for today’s blog hop.

This uses the Easter Friends stamp set and (soon to be retired) Pattern Party DSP. The image is stamped onto fluid watercolor paper and coloured with ink and water painters. Although it look brown, the bunny uses Gray Granite and Basic Gray ink. The surprise comes when you open the card – it is a gate fold!

Wildlife Wonder Angled Gate Fold Card

As I promised in my blog post last Thursday, I made the angled gate fold card during my Facebook live on Sunday. If you missed the original post, you can see it here. (The card shown in that post is slightly different to this one).

Pansy Petals Birthday Card

Thank you for joining us for the April Blogging Friends hop. The theme for this hop is “Flowers” The northern hemisphere is moving into warmer weathers and will have flowers in bloom, and in the southern hemisphere we are heading for cooler weather and the flowers on cards that don’t die will be keeping our spirits up.

Pansy Petals is one of the bundles that will be carrying over to the new catalogue, but the DSP will not. One of the fun features of this DSP is that the images on it co-ordinate with the Pansy dies. This is one of the projects that I did for the Bundle Bonus collaboration. If you would like to know more about this, you can find the details here. The card has a surprise inside.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Wildlife Wonder Angled Gate Fold

Thank you for joining us for this Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Fun Folds”. I LOVE fun fold cards. They are usually fairly easy to make, but have that WOW factor. We never discuss what we are doing for this hop, so it is going to be interesting to see if we get any duplicate folds. The card that I have chosen is an angled gate fold:

I used the Wildlife Wonder stamp set for all my stamping. The trees on the Layered Circle is cut with the Grove dies. The DSP is Beauty Of The Earth which will be retiring at the end of April. Let’s Set Sail Z-Fold

If you couldn’t join me for my Facebook live on Sunday morning, this is the card that you missed. Once again, I couldn’t stay away from the New Horizons DSP. I’ll try use something else this week, but no promises! This is a Z-fold card and it open like this:

Although they aren’t shown together in the catalogue, New Horizons DSP is the perfect background to the Let’s Set Sail stamp set. You will need (want) the coordinating Sailboat Builder punch. Remember if you buy them as a bundle, you save 10%

I used a different sheet of the DSP for the live. Now I can’t decide which colour scheme I prefer!

Grassy Grove Fun Fold

Did you manage to watch my Facebook live yesterday? I demonstrated a fun fold card using the Grassy Grove bundle. I told you in my blog post on Thursday that I would be doing this in my live. You can see the original post here. I used a different sheet of the DSP when I did my live. This is the card that I made.

Global SU Share fair is a collaboration of international demonstrators. It is an exclusive customer group and every second month we have an event where we each do a Facebook live. We also each use a different stamp set or bundle. There are usually 16 presenters, so you get 16 different projects and you can mix and match the designs and stamp sets to get even more! The April event will be a celebration of our 2 year anniversary. For me, this was a BIG plus that came out of the pandemic. If you are one of my customers who isn’t in the group, please let me know and I’ll send you an invitation. As a bonus for our birthday, invite a friend who loves crafting!
