Stampin’ Dreams – Dainty Delight

Thank you for joining us for another Stampin Dreams blog hop. The theme for today’s hop is “Reduce, reuse, recycle”. I have created my card using the window sheet that comes backing the photopolymer stamp sets.

I used the Dainty Delight bundle and combined it with the beautiful Dainty Flowers
Sale-A-Bration DSP.

Butterfly Brilliance Sympathy Card

Last week I was contacted by a lady who asked me how I had done the background on this card.

I was amazed to get this question as this card is from a couple of years ago. I needed a sympathy card, so I decided to recreate it using current products. This is the updated version:

I stamped the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set directly onto the Fancy Flora DSP using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The butterfly on the sentiment is cut using the Brilliant Wings dies.

Technique Tuesday

Thank you for joining us for our Technique Tuesday blog hop. The technique that we are sharing this month is masking. I have used the Two Tone Flora Dies to make my own mask. I also got two cards for one amount of effort.

Use the die cut as a mask and apply colour with your blending brushes.

Then use the piece that you are using as a mask to make a second card

If you want to see how I made these cards, join me foe my Facebook live at 10:00 on Sunday morning (12 February). You can find my Facebook page here.

Be sure to hop all the way around and see what masking techniques everyone else has to share with us

Let’s Craft Together – Rain Or Shine

Thank you for joining us for our Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a quartet of multi cultural Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. Today we are focusing on the super cute Rain or Shine suite.

I have used this layout (or variations of it) on a number of cards recently, and I LOVE it! I posted a card for a blog hop a couple of weeks ago and had a number of people messaging me and asking for the measurements. If you missed that card, you can have a look at it here. The measurements are fairly simple. The DSP strips are 5.0 cm (2″) wide. The left one is 10.0 cm (3″) long. The right one is 5.0 cm (2 1/4″) long. They don’t meet in the middle, but that is covered up by your focal point piece.

If you love this suite, and would like more ideas on using it, we are having a Stamp Camp on the 4th March. There are a number of options available to join us, and you can participate even if you aren’t in Australia. Click here for all the information about the stamp camp.

New Catalogue Blog Hop – Two-Tone Flora

We are all super excited about the new mini catalogue! Hopefully you have had a copy in your hands for a few days and have your NEED list drawn up. Our blog hop today is using products from this catalogue. I have used Two-Tone Flora. I love this bundle. It doesn’t matter which flowers you stamp, your card comes out beautifully!

I stamped my detailed flowers in Flirty Flamingo for the big flowers and Fresh Freesia for the smaller ones and then stamped off for the fill in so that I got the same colour in a lighter shade, and then die cut the flowers and leaves. The inside of the card has a stamped flower.

Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop – Rain Or Shine

Thank you for joining us for our inaugural Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a quartet of multi cultural Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting.

Today’s hop is a colour challenge. Here is the inspiration:

I managed to use all the colours in my card. If you are wondering where I found all these cute characters – they are in the Playing In The Rain bundle which is in the new January – April 2023 mini catalogue and is available to order from tomorrow.

To get the effect of the sky, I inked up the Raindrops embossing folder with Tahitian Tide ink and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. I water coloured all the critters and Wink Of Stella added shine to the umbrella and clouds.

If you LOVE the cuteness of this bundle, and want more ideas to use it, be sure to check back tomorrow. I will post details of our Stamp Camp which is going to be on the 4th of March and will use this suite.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Elephant Parade

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is Winter Holidays. As it is so close to Christmas, I decided that I would focus my thoughts a bit further and do a new year card. However, I couldn’t find a happy new year greeting, so I had to think out of the box! This is what I came up with:

I used the Elephant Parade bundle and Days To Remember stamp set Once I had made this card, I did find a happy new year stamp – it is in the Brightest Glow stamp set. In my defense, I didn’t have this stamp set when I was making my card!

Below is a video that I did last year. It isn’t this card, but does show you how to position the days to get the month that you want aligned.

Be sure to complete the hop to see all the wonderful ideas that we have to share with you. The next stop is Julia Mazur – I can’t wait to see what she has created this month!
