Symbols Of Fortune Mini Album

In my blog on Tuesday night (early hours of Wednesday morning) I shared a mini envelope made using envelopes. (if you missed that post you can see it here). In that post I said that I would have video instructions on the weekend. I have just finished an online event where I demonstrated the project. The one on Tuesday was made using the Friendly Hello bundle, this one uses Symbols Of Fortune.. This is a quarterly event which I share with about 15 other international demonstrators. We demonstrate 4 different bundles at this event. If you place an order with me, I will invite you to the group. My product this time was Symbols Of Fortune.

The Measurements for this project are as follows:

Hello Friend Mini Album using Envelopes

Thank you for joining us for a Technique Tuesday blog hop. The theme for this hop is to share an envelope technique, tip or hack. I have a mini album to share with you. It is made using 3 envelopes. Here is a photo of the album all closed up.

The next photo is of it opened

My final photo is of the envelope inserts where you can add your photos or some messages. Remember the inserts are double sided, so there is lots of room to add your personal touches.

I CASE-d this idea from Laurence Mirman, a French demonstrator. She has a video for the project, but it is in French and unfortunately I don’t speak French (and she doesn’t give written measurements)! You can see her video here. I am going to be demonstrating this project on the weekend, so pop back on Sunday, and I will share the video (in English) and the measurements.

Be sure to hop around to everyone else and see what envelope wonders they have to share with us.

12 Weeks of Christmas – Week 11

It is hard to believe that next week will be Christmas! We have been in lockdown for so long, that it feels like the year has barely started. I have spent so much time at home, I feel like I haven’t done very much this year. Hopefully next year will have no lockdowns and life can start up again!

I am sure that by now, most of your Christmas gifts, cards and projects are organised. However, there are always the last minute things that need to be done, or the gift that you forgot to buy and now need to arrange.

If you have the Ombre Gift bags on hand, they make the perfect wrapping for a small item. A couple of weeks ago I participated in a customer only event with 15 other international demonstrators. The theme for this event was quick gift wrapping. I showed how to adapt the bags so that instead of a flat bag that is good for a card or gift card, you can use it to package a 3d item.

If you are one of my customers and are not part of Global SU Share Fair Facebook page, please let me know and I will send you an invitation. Below is the replay of my video. The other ladies in the group had fantastic gift wrapping ideas so it is worth checking out all the videos.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Gift Packaging

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Gift Packaging”. Whether you are still wrapping your Christmas presents, or giving a birthday or just because present, I am sure that you will find inspiration here.

This project was inspired by Debbie Blake, a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Western Australia. All that you need to make this is a square piece of DSP (this one uses Beauty of the Earth DSP) and a library clip. To make it, all you need to do is fold your paper!

If you use Christmas paper, you can tie a ribbon through the library clip and it can double up as a Christmas tree ornament. These are photos showing the top and bottom of the bag

Here is a quick video which will explain how to fold the paper

Be sure to complete the hop to see all the wonderful ideas that we have to share with you. The next stop is Annette. I can’t wait to see what she has created this month.

12 Weeks of Christmas – Week 10

I recently took part in a Facebook event which was focused on Christmas projects. My project is a gift box which is filled with tags and notelets. It uses the Whimsy & Wonder suite which is retiring. The stamps and dies are still available, but unfortunately the DSP is sold out. You can use any DSP that you have on hand to make up the project. It does take a bit of time to complete the project, but the results are worth the effort. I have given a few boxes as gifts and the recipients have been super excited to receive them.

Here is a Facebook live video to make the box

12 Weeks of Christmas – Week 9

Can you believe that 3 weeks today will be Christmas? Where has this year gone?
I participated in an online event for Black Saturday. In that event, I demonstrated a card with a gift box that fits into the top of the card. For today’s post, I have made this project in Christmas colours.

You could use this to put a small gift into the box or instead of the Christmas greeting, why not put a name on it, and use them as place cards for Christmas lunch or dinner? A small gift or some chocolate in the box, and everyone is happy!

The video below is the unedited Facebook live from the event. It shows the project made using the Artistic Impressions suite, but change up the greeting and the DSP and make it fit whatever occasion you like. (Anyone getting engaged? A diamond ring in the box would definitely get you a yes!)

12 Weeks Of Christmas – Week 7

Last year when we were in our first lockdown, the company that i work for send us a lovely surprise – a gift hamper that came in a beautiful tin. As soon as I saw the tin, I knew that I wanted to recreate it in paper.

I did an online event for Black Friday, and demonstrated my gift box based on that tin at that event. The Facebook live of that presentation is below. Poinsettia petals is still available, and (as you might have noticed) one of my favourite sets! If you package a gift in this box, the box will bring as much delight to the recipient as what is inside it!

I am participating in a Black Friday event again this year. It will however be Saturday in Asutalia when I present. It seems that Black Friday has become a whole long weekend. Friday is followed by Social Saturday (perfect for crafting) and then Cyber Monday. If you are a customer and are not part of the November Woo Hoo Weekend Facebook group, please contact me and I will send you an invitation.
