Friendly Hello One Sheet Wonder VLOG Hop

Welcome back to our GLOBAL SU VLOG HOP, which we now plan to bring to you regularly on the last day of each month.
This YouTube event follows on from our regular Global SU Share Fairs, created for our Stampin’ Up! Customers and shared through Facebook Live presentations in a Customer Facebook Group.
Today’s ‘VLOG Hop’ our Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators, are each sharing their interpretation of a One Sheet Wonder. Make sure to hop round and visit all the participants, and diarise the end of February to check back.

Here are the cutting instructions for a 15.2 x 15.2cm (6″ x 6″) piece of Designer Series Paper

I used the Friendly Hello stamp and DSP which is available now as a Sale-A-Bration level 2 reward.

Watch my video for the instructions on cutting the DSP and assembling the cards.

Monotone Calming Camellias

I decided to sit and play with my Calming Camellia stamp set. This is the Sale-A-Bration host set, and is free with an order of $500. I know that this is a big amount to spend, but if there is a heap of items on your wish list from the new mini catalogue, it is worth putting in a big order and getting this stamp set. (Win-win – you get all the new product that you are lusting after and this gorgeous stamp set!)

This is a distinktive stamp, and it makes stamping beautiful images so easy. For my first card I stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink onto Basic White card stock.

I the wanted to see how it would look if I used Tone on tone, so I stamped the Flirty Flamingo ink onto Flirty Flamingo card stock. Using my Blender Pen and White Craft ink, I coloured in the flowers. I didn’t make the white very opaque, I just used enough to make them show up against the card stock.

I am finding it very hard to decide which one I like best. What is your preference?

CASE-d Card using Calming Camelias

I am playing along with this weeks CASE-ing the Catty Sunday Challenge again. This week’s challenge is to CASE a card in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. I have chosen the card that straddles page 16 and 17. Sometimes a card takes on a life of its own, and the finished version looks nothing like the one that you are CASE-ing. This is a photo of the card in the catalogue, and my version of it.

My plan was to make a standard card rather than a slim line card, and it went off on its own direction from there. The ribbon is the Frayed White ribbon. I cut off a strip and ran it over my Gorgeous Grape ink pad a few times. This ribbon is quite wide, so I cut it in half down the middle. Calming Camellias is the host Sale-A-Bration reward. You will get this free on any order over $500.

If you palce you order by the 21st January, I have a bonus tutorial bundle which has all the projects from the Global SU Share fair that we had over the weekend.

I have used the Stitched Triangles dies for the corners along the the Simply Marbleous DSP. This DSP is beautiful, and is one of those items that money can’t buy – it can however be redeemed with a qualifying order as a Sale-A-Bration reward! If you are wondering where the “Thanks” is from, it is a die from the Word Wishes set that I modified slightly. It used to say Thanksgiving! These cards look lovely in all of the colours in the Simply Marbleous paper. Be sure to get your pack before they are all gone.

I hope that my card has inspired you. We have an amazing line up of Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators, and we know you are going to love all the creativity that is being showcased today. Remember you are currently on my page – Tracy Held. See who is below me to know where to go next.

I need coffee for Simply Sketchin’ Saturday!

It is time for another Simply Sketchin’ Saturday.
Every Saturday a new sketch is uploaded. You can then play along for the week and submit your interpretation of the sketch. You can see the group here.
This is the sketch for this week:

When I started thinking about this, the idea that I had was completed different to the finished product. Whatever I tried wasn’t working for me, and then I decided I needed a coffee to help. Best idea ever – sketch + coffee = inspiration!!

To make this card I combined the words from Nothing’s Better Than with the images from Brew Some Fun. The DSP is Simply Marbleous which is one of the Sale-A-Bration items available at the moment. The background uses the Gingham embossing folder from the January – June 2022 mini catalogue.

Be sure to visit the Facebook group and see how everyone else has interpreted the sketch.
Be sure to pop back next week to see what the next sketch looks like.

Awesome Otters

Thank you for joining us for the January Blogging Friends hop. The theme for this hop is “Island Vibes, Rainbows and Otters – Oh My! As you might have gathered by this fun title, our focus on this hop is Sale-A-Bration January – February 2022. Unfortunately for us in the South Pacific, because of the current world wide supply issues (thank you Covid!) there are a large number of the Sale-A-Bration items that haven’t landed on our shores as yet. Don’t despair, they are on the water and Stampin’ Up! will make them available for redemption as soon as they land. If you love some of the projects made by our hoppers in other markets, pin the project and add the supplies to your wish list – you will be able to redeem them eventually. For my card, I have used the stamp set that is available the super cute Awesome Otters!

I have used the Simply Marbleous DSP (also a Sale-A-Bration item which is available in Australia) to complete this card.

If you want the instructions to make this card, join me for a Facebook live on Sunday (9 January) at 10:00. You can like my Facebook page here, and you will be able to see the event.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope everyone has a fun and creative weekend. Be sure to hop around and see what everyone else has created.

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop – In The Moment with Simply Marbleous DSP

Welcome to the December 2021 Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You may be starting at my blog or landed here from another one.
Our theme this month is “My Favourite Stampin’ Up! product”. I find it very difficult to narrow it down to my favourite product. I think it depends on my mood, the day and what type pf project I am working on.
At the moment, I am loving new stuff. Today my cards will be giving you a sneak peek of a new stamp set, a new Sale-A-Bration offering and some new embellishments – they come together to make my favourite (for the moment) cards!

In The Moment stamp set has 3 different images – the one I have used for my cards, a lady looking out of the window holding a coffee cup and the third one is a lady relaxing on a bed with her dog reading a book. The sentiments offer words of encouragement. This is a lovely stamp set to send a card to a friend.

The DSP is called Simply Marbleous, and you will definitely want to chose that as a
Sale-A-Bration reward. The pack has pink, blue, green, yellow, purple and green sheets in it. One side has a soft marble look and the other is a darker shade with lots of swirls.

Stamp the lady into your circle. Stamp another one onto a post it note and cut it out. Cover the image on the circle with the post it note and colour over ith with Balmy Blue and a blending brush. Stamp the image onto your DSP and cut out the dress. Be sure to cut the bottom of the dress longer so that it will come down to the bottom of the circle. I used the grey and yellow DSP for the hats, but you could use the same colour as the dress. Stick the DSP onto your image on the circle and colour the rest of it with your Stampin’ blends,

For this card I cut two strips at 1.0cm (3/8″) and one strip 1.5cm (3/4″).

For the second card i decided to layer the design onto a Blushing Bride card base. I cut my DSP 9.5cm x 9.5cm (3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″) and then cut it from corner to corner to make 2 triangles. The finishing bling is the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Gems.

I hope that you are having some down time from work, and looking through your new catalogues and writing up your wish list. You are currently visiting Tracy Held at Trace Of Creativity in Australia. Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects.

If you live in Australia and don’t have a demonstrator, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to assist you with your stamping needs. You can also shop from home at my online store.
