Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – In Colour Inspiration

I am so excited to be joining the talented ladies in the Stampin’ Creative blog hop! The theme for today’s hop is “In Colour Inspiration”. I am sure by now you have seen all the 2021-2023 In Colours – aren’t they beautiful? Sometimes there will be a few colours that I really love, and others that I am not so keen on. This time I love them all!! I even like the greens, and green is not usually my go to colour.

I have used all five In Colours in this card. The background is Evening Evergreen with the flowers stamped in evening Evergreen ink for that subtle tone on tone shading. I used Pale papaya, polished Pink and fresh freesia for the flowers. The water wash underneath the flowers are in Soft succulent. Did you know that you can order all five In Colour stamp pads as a bundle and save 10%? The stamps and dies cuts are done with the Color & Contour bundle. The sentiment is heat embossed.

I always stamp on the inside of my cards (and stamp a matching envelope). This time I stamped a daisy in the top and bottom corners.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Below is the list of all the hop participants. Be sure to visit them all to see what colourful inspiration they have to share. We love hearing from you, so please leave us comments to let us know what you think about our projects.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Happy Birthday

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Happy Birthday”. These are the cards that are most commonly sent out.
You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has something exciting to share with us!

This is another set of cards which is easy to make in pairs as the DSP and embossed piece are cut into two and shared between the cards. I used the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set and coordinating Love You More Than dies to do the images. (The three C’s – cookies, coffee and chocolate. What more do you need to make your birthday happy?).
I cut a piece of Pattern Party DSP (this is the paper that can only be purchased using host rewards) and a piece of Misty Moonlight 14.4cm x 8cm / 5 1/4″ x 3 1/4″. I ran the Misty Moonlight through the embossing machine with the Animal Print embossing folder.
With the two pieces of paper directly on top of each other, I lined up my die from the Basic Borders dies just in from the right edge and ran both pieces through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. The DSP is thin, so my machine didn’t have any problem cutting through two layers.

What happens when 12 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from across the globe collaborate to create inspiring content? It’s a fun filled event you can enjoy from the comfort of your warm, cozy home! This event is open to my customers that are my Facebook business page fans. Being a FB page fan is how I can invite you to the group. Using an email address to extend the invitation no longer works. If you have placed an order with me, and are not part of the group, like/subscribe to my FB business page here Then send me a FB PM and ask to be added.

I am presenting at 12:00pm AEST. As we are starting on Friday Evening US time, Shirley Merker will be kicking off the event at 7:00am my time. I hope you are there to watch the fun or watch on replay too! This event features tons of projects, ideas, tips, tricks and random prizes too! Hope to see you in the group!

CASE-d Card Using Whiskey Business

I am playing along with this weeks CASE-ing the Catty Sunday Challenge again. This week’s challenge is to CASE a card in the January-June 2021 mini catalogue and put a masculine spin onto it. The card that I chose was this one on the bottom left corner of page 13.

Given that the flowers are quite wide, and the whiskey bottle is long and narrower, it didn’t quite come together as planned. The more I worked on it, the further it got from the original. hopefully you can see where the inspiration came from

Simply Elegant Flip Card

I am happy to be taking part in Kylie’s Monthly International Blog Highlights again.
The theme for this hop is “Thank you”. Many people forget those simple words. I have seen people’s days brightened because someone said a simple thank you to them.
Show your appreciation to people in your lives who have inspired you, helped you or supported you by sending them a thank you card or project.

This is what the card looks like when it is closed – fairly unassuming, but the WOW! comes in when it is opened.

I demonstrated this fun fold in the May 2021 Global SU Share fair. This is a customer group which is hosted by an international group of incredibly talented demonstrators. All of my customers are invited to the Facebook page and can participate in the event. The card I am demonstrating uses the Dressed To Impress stamp set and All Dressed Up dies, but the instructions for making the card are the same – just change the stamp set and DSP!

Measurements for this card are:
Card Base – 14.9x21cm / 81/2×51/2″
Z fold – 12.5x15cm / 41/2×6″
White: 2 pieces 12.1×4.6cm / 17/8×43/8″
1 piece 14.4x10cm / 4×51/4″
DSP: 3 pieces 14.4x10cm / 4×51/4″
1 piece 12.1×4.6cm / 17/8 x 43/8″

Shaded Summer Embossed card

Thank you for joining us for the June Blogging Friends hop. We are still enamored with the new catalogue, so today’s hop is focusing on things that we want to share.

I have found a beautiful stamp set. I love everything about this set – the images, sentiments and the fonts that the sentiments are written in. It is a stamp set that doesn’t have any coordinating dies, and is called Shaded Summer

To do the background on the card, I stamped the image with Versamak ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The ribbon is the White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon that I squished onto my Flirty Flamingo ink pad to colour. The finishing touches are the Silver & Clear Epxoy Essentials. I used clear on the background and silver on the Flirty Flamingo flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope everyone has a fun and creative weekend. Be sure to hop around and see what everyone else has created.
