Christmas card swap.

I recently participated in a Christmas card swap. I made a pile of cards (all the same) and sent them off. A few weeks later a got a lovely surprise in my post box – a satchel with all my swaps in it! I decided to share these cards with you. I know it is a bit close to Christmas – I might suggest that next year they do the swap earlier, but the cards are beautiful and well worth sharing. Some of the products are being retired, so if you love the stamp set you need to get your order in soon. If you want a quick visual view, you can watch my video. I am also going to show the individual cards and the main products that were used.

This is my card. It is using my favourite Poinsettia Petals bundle and Plush Poinsettia specialty paper. This bundle is being carried over, but will no longer be available at the discounted bundle price once the catalogue has retired. Below is a video of the Facebook live that I did making this card

This beautiful card was made by Judie Novack and used the Dove of Hope bundle

These 2 cards didn’t have names on them. They both used the Curvy Christmas stamp set, Curvy dies (not available to purchase seperately at this stage) and Classic Christmas DSP.

This card was made by Aimee Wicks. She used Snowflake Wishes bundle and Snowflake Splendor DSP. Below is the Facebook live that I did which demonstrates this technique

This cute card was made by Joy. She used Coming Home and Itty Bitty Christmas stamp sets with Heartwarming hugs DSP

These two were made by Denise Ryan and are really cute half size cards! The first one is using Still Scenes stamp set. The second one also uses the Snowflake Splendor stamp set. This has been combined with the Stitched Stars dies. Coincidentally she used the same DSP as the card above.

This card was made by Sandra Mackie and uses the Ornamental Envelopes stamp set and the Envelopes dies

Last but night least is this lovely shiny card by Cheryl Hurst. She used For Unto Us stamp set, Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder and the brass foil sheets

I hope that seeing these cards brought you as much joy as receiving them did to me, and has given you lots of ideas and inspiration

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Shirt Gift Pouch using In Good Taste DSP

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Gift Packaging”. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has such great packaging ideas!

My project is a quick and cute gift pouch. The only supplies that you need are DSP, ribbon and adhesive. Watch the video below for directions to make them. I did the brown one in the video, although my picture has the tie tied properly. I am sorry that I had stopped recording, because it was so funny with my husband with a tie around his neck showing me how to tie the knot, and me trying to replicate it with the ribbon!

Dahlia fold using Dandy Garden

Thank you for visiting today as I join other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world in playing along with our friend Kylie’s International Blog Highlights to share cards that show appreciation.
The theme for this hop is “Thank you”. Many people forget those simple words. I have seen people’s days brightened because someone said a simple thank you to them.
Show your appreciation to people in your lives who have inspired you, helped you or supported you by sending them a thank you card or project.

I recently participated in a Black Friday event with demonstrators from the UK, USA and Canada. This fold was one of my projects for the event, and everyone that participated was wowed! The secret to success is to use DSP that has a small pattern and has a good contrast between the sides of the paper. For this card I have used the Dandy Garden DSP and the Dragonfly Garden stamp set which will be available on the 3rd of January in the new mini catalogue.

The video is from the Black Friday event, so it does use different DSP. If you would like more details about what else was available at this class, please feel free to contact me

If you like this card, please vote for me by clicking on the button below.

Keep spreading happiness by sending cards to anyone who touches your life. A handmade card in the post box brings joy to the worst day

Colour Inkspiration #83

I am a little bit late in posting this, as the colour challenge actually finished a week ago, but better late than never! I enjoy taking part in colour challenges. They sometimes push me out of my comfort zone and force me to work with colours that aren’t my regular go-to colours, and other times inspire me to use combinations that I hadn’t considered.

This challenge forced me to do both. Green isn’t one of my favourite colours, but this combination really works well together. I was very excited to be placed in the top 5 of the entries for this challenge.

Below is my Facebook Live video showing how I made these cards.

Blossoms in Bloom with Artistry Blooms DSP – VLOG Hop

Herringbone Technique video

I said that I would have this video ready for you on Thursday, but I have had some technical issues (mainly trying to edit and upload to YouTube). I apologise for this being late, but here is my (first ever) video showing this fun technique!
