Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Herringbone Technique

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Designer Series Paper Spotlight”. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. Wasn’t her project fantastic?

I was recently shown how to do the herring bone technique, and what better way is there to show off the beautiful DSP in the new catalogue? You need very few supplies for this technique – a piece to place your DSP onto, some adhesives sheets and DSP strips cut to 1cm. You can use whatever sentiment appeals to you. I wanted to keep it small so that I didn’t cover too much of the design. The sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set and cut out with a stitched oval.

You can choose a specific colour scheme, or use each V in a different colour. I have a video showing how I made these cards, so pop back tomorrow to get the tutorial.
