Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Under My Umbrella

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Thinking of you – Girls”. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has a fabulous project to show to us!

Many of us are using the Under My Umbrella bundle this month. With the difficult times that we are in at the moment, this stamp set seems to be designed for sending messages of love and friendship.

I started a project that I am calling my ‘card blitz’. I sent out a full sized card which I put a personal note into. Included in the envelope, was a matching note card. I told the recipient to send the note card to one of their friends that they wanted to reach out and touch.

This is the latest design in my card blitz. The frilly bit was cut out using the Ornate Layers Dies. I cut my Flirty Flamingo layer to size and then positioned the die in the centre. I used the piece that came out on the note card.

I hope that you will all join in my card blitz and keep sending cards. My favourite thing is a handmade card in the post box. This is a perfect way to spread happiness!

  1. What a cute card! I love your idea of a card blitz. I send cards out but now I will include an extra one to pass along. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Do it. Everyone that I have sent cards to have been really excited about sending the note card on

    1. Thank you. This gives a bit of extra versatility with the dies and you can use all the edges that you would usually throw away!

  2. Love that your card and note card coordinate — and that you used the open umbrella for the larger card and the opening umbrella punch for the smaller card. Great details!

  3. Stunning cards, Tracy, agree with all the above comments and also love the way the DSP on the full size card looks like it is melting into the Flirty Flamingo. A nice effect.

  4. Terrific cards! I love the idea of making a matching notecard and sending that as well so they can spread the joy! That is a wonderful idea and I will be doing that I do believe. You made beautiful cards.
