I have started on a second Circle Journal You might remember the last round. I created a journal, and it get posted to the ladies that are in my group and each one adds a card to the journal until it completes its circle and comes home to me.
I decided to make my theme a bit challenging this time. I have asked the ladies to create cards using a stamp or punch that has been used differently to just the face value of the product. If we can find different uses for a product, that is make it more versatile, it increases its usefulness and we get far more out of the set.
This is the card that I made to kick off the journal. I can’t take any credit for this card. I saw it on one of the swap boards at the Stampin’ Up! convention in Orlando and I loved it. Unfortunately I don’t know who the very clever person was that came up with the design. If you happen to know who it was, please let me know so that I can give them the acknowledgement that they deserve. I used the Shimmery white embossing paste to make the fluff on her hat and skirt, because in my world sparkle makes everything better!
I used the softly falling embossing folder to create the background snow effect. Unfortunately this has been retired.
Beautiful You is one of my favourite stamp sets, and now I have another use for it. Did you ever think of this as being a Christmas stamp?
My journal is on its way to New Zealand, and the next journal should be coming to me soon. I wonder what the theme of that journal will be.
