Chain Card Swap Blog Hop – Delightful Dogwood

At the beginning of October, I started a fun journey with 10 other Australian demonstrators. We called it a “Chain Card Swap”. It is a card version of what is called “Chinese Whispers” in Australia (we called it “Broken Telephone” in South Africa). Each of us designed a card (round 1) and sent it off to one of the other participants. That person CASE-d (Copy And Share Everything) the card and send their version on to the next person. The card made its way around until finally a version came home to the maker. This is the third card in series of blog hops for each of the card designs to share the fun and amazement at the evolution.

The next card that we are sharing was designed by Cheryl Hurst. My suggestion is that you start at her blog post and then click through the link list which is in round order. My CASE of her card was at round 9 (almost at the end) and was completely different to the original.

This card used the Sale-A-Bration Detailed Dogwood stamp set. I really liked the style of card, so I did a similar card for one of my OnStage swaps. You can watch the video of how I had the card below.

It was mind blowing to see the difference between the first card and the one that returned home. Hop though the blog posts to see how we all interpreted the card differently and how it evolved from start to finish.

  1. This is stunning Tracy! I love how you used dies to bridge the split in the card front rather than just a rectangle.
