Thank you for joining us for today’s blog hop. The theme for today is CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a friend. This means that you take inspiration from a card that someone else has made and use it as a start for your own card. You can either copy it exactly, or make small changes, but the original inspiration still shines through.
One of the amazing things about paper crafting, particularly in the virtual world that we now live in, is that you can make friends with people anywhere in the world, without having met them in person. I have a wonderful circle of friends who I have spoken to online, but never face to face and we all get along so well and we all have our crafting in common. One of these friends is Annette McMillan. I “met” Annette through a virtual event that we both participate in, and we have spent hours talking and messaging each other. I love Annette’s work and spent some time looking through her blog posts. Eventually I managed to narrow my options down to one card. This is my card:

This is Annette’s card that I CASE-d. You can see her original post here. I am going to send Annette a message to telling her to visit my blog and see if she likes my take on her card.

*I used the Honeybee Home bundle and Symbols of Fortune DSP. I coloured the Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon with my dark Calypso Coral blend. I couldn’t decide whether I liked that bow or the Pale Papaya Open Weave ribbon, so I just used both bows!
Honey Bee home is one of the products in my Bundle Bonus program. You can find more details about that here

Today you get a double whammy of inspiration with the original and the CASE-d card. Be sure to hop around and see what inspired everyone. Here is the hop listing:

Lovely card Tracy, love your colour option x
Wow. I love both cards. Great layout and color choices on both. And I love the two bows. I’m going to have to try that instead of using a double bow.
What a fun & pretty sketch to CASE!
