Product Of The Month Blog Hop – Glow Of Harvest DSP with Butterfly Flight

Welcome to our Product Of The Month (POM) blog hop. If you haven’t heard of POM yet, this is what it is all about. Stampin’ Up! has started a new monthly promotion. Every month there will be a new product. To get your hands on the product, all you need to do is place an order. This month’s POM is a pack of DSP – Glow Of Harvest. The colours in this DSP are soft and pretty and the Very Vanilla background has a gorgeous shimmer. It is one sided, and is thicker than the double sided DSP. This will work really well with 3D projects. If you place an order with me and purchase the POM stamp set, I will send you a tutorial featuring projects using this stamp set. This is in addition to my usual thank you tutorial bundle.

The butterfly and leaves are from the Butterfly Flight bundle. I didn’t use the hot foil dies this time – I used the cutting dies and the masks. I have also added some sneak peeks from the new September – December catalogue. The embossing folder is called Softly Woven and the centre square is from a new set of dies called Tile Garden dies. These are amazing! The are the same as the Spotlight On Nature dies, but square.

Festive Friday #FF0216 – Fern & Flora

Thanks for joining us for this Festive Friday challenge. Have you ever played along with Festive Friday? There is a new challenge every second Friday. The challenge has an overall theme plus an inspiration list. You choose at least three of the inspiration elements and make a project. Your project can be a card, 3D item, or scrapbook layout and can reflect the main theme or just use the inspiration elements and have nothing to do with the theme. This is the inspiration list for this fortnight:

My plan was to use one of the new stamp set that is coming in the September – December catalogue, but when I had it in front of me, it wouldn’t work, so I had to pivot. This is the new vision:

The new Product Of The Month, Glow Of Harvest DSP was the perfect colour palate and I combined that with the Fern & Flora bundle. The inspo items in my card are neutral colours, texture (this is a sneak peek of a new embossing folder – Softly Woven that is coming in the next catalogue) and jungle leaves (ferns might be more rain forest bit I’m going with jungle!)

The floral images are gorgeous, although I do tend to want to cut them out rather than stamping flat. I used my favourite new In Color – Barely Blush for a softness to go with the pretty.

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop – Wild Bunch

Welcome to another Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You may be starting at my blog or landed here from another one.
Each month there is a new Inspirational challenge. This month is a sketch challenge.

My card is a bit mean, it uses the Wild Bunch Product Of The Month stamp set which is sold out in a number of markets.
I made my card when I first received the stamp set and decided it was too cute not to share.

I also went a bit rogue – turned the sketch landscape instead of portrait. The position of my koalas meant that I couldn’t put my embellishments in a row along the bottom of my strips, so they decided to alternate and the sentiment went where it found a place. Hopefully you can see the sketch that was the starting point for my card.

This month’s POM is a super cute stamp set – Wild Bunch. If you place an order with me and purchase the POM stamp set, I will send you a tutorial featuring projects using this stamp set. This is in addition to my usual thank you tutorial bundle. All the little critters in this stamp set are adorable, I used the bull for my card.

It was really easy to stamp the party hat onto his head, and gave him the added festive cheer. If you are wondering about the embossing behind him, this is a sneak peek of a new embossing folder – Swirls Of Magic which will be available from 1st July. The presents were fussy cut and stuck around him. The DSP started out as a 7.0 cm (2 3/4″) square that I cut in half on the diagonal.

This month the product is a gorgeous pack of DSP – True Blue Florals. The card I have made is one of my favourite designs at the moment. This card needs DSP with good coordination on the back and the front. Then it is easy!!

I cut flowers from the DSP to use to decorate the label and carried a flower into the inside of the card.

The measurements are for the card using the True Blue Florals (with the additional mat on the inside)
