Let’s Craft Together – Layered Florals

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a group of
multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is a water colouring challenge that was set by Julia Quinn.

Some of the ladies who hop with us do the most amazing colouring. However, if you follow my work, you will know that I am not one of them! My card uses the most basic type of water colouring.

I embossed a piece of Basic White card stock using the Layered Florals 3D embossing folder (which I am delighted to see is carrying over to the new annual catalogue). I picked up some ink with my water painters and coloured the raised leaves and flowers. The sentiment is from the Go To Greetings stamp set which is retiring at the end of the month.

It always amazes me how we all have the same starting point, and come up with completely different projects. Hop around and see how everyone else has interpreted this challenge.

Let’s Craft Together – Simply Zinnia

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a group of

Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is a colour challenge that was set by Monique Fielder.

These are not my usual go to colours, and although the colours in my card aren’t as deep as the colours in the picture, I am very happy with the final result (and might even try using this combination again!)

I have used the bundle, embossing folder and embellishments from a new online exclusive offering that will be available from tomorrow. If you like the look of this, I will be participating in a Stamp Camp that uses these products. You can find all the details about the Stamp Camp here.

Let’s Craft Together – September picture challenge using Beary Christmas DSP

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a group of
multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is a picture inspiration that was set by Maheswari Rajaguru.

I decided to use the layout of the picture, but I changed the orientation. I took the picture and flipped it 90º.

This card is really easy to make – it is just cutting images from the Beary Christmas DSP which will be available from 6th September. I wanted to make my card less Christmas and more general birthday. Some DSP inside and my card was complete!

Below is the list of participants. Hop all the way around to see how the other ladies were inspired by this challenge.

Let’s Craft Together – Potted Geraniums with Friendly Gnomes

Thank you for joining us for our Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a quartet of multi cultural Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. For this month, we have a mystery challenge.

Once I decided which products and colours I wanted to use, I sat and played with the pieces. I did cheat a little bit as my rectangle is slightly longer and narrower than it is supposed to be. I really wanted to use the Radiating Stitches dies in my card. This is my end result:

The Friendly Gnomes, Potted Geraniums bundle and the Tea Boutique DSP are all retiring. If these are on your wish list, you can get them at a discounted price. Let’s Craft Together – Rain Or Shine

Thank you for joining us for our Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a quartet of multi cultural Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. Today we are focusing on the super cute Rain or Shine suite.

I have used this layout (or variations of it) on a number of cards recently, and I LOVE it! I posted a card for a blog hop a couple of weeks ago and had a number of people messaging me and asking for the measurements. If you missed that card, you can have a look at it here. The measurements are fairly simple. The DSP strips are 5.0 cm (2″) wide. The left one is 10.0 cm (3″) long. The right one is 5.0 cm (2 1/4″) long. They don’t meet in the middle, but that is covered up by your focal point piece.

If you love this suite, and would like more ideas on using it, we are having a Stamp Camp on the 4th March. There are a number of options available to join us, and you can participate even if you aren’t in Australia. Click here for all the information about the stamp camp.

Let’s Craft Together Blog Hop – Rain Or Shine

Thank you for joining us for our inaugural Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a quartet of multi cultural Stampin’ Up! demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting.

Today’s hop is a colour challenge. Here is the inspiration:

I managed to use all the colours in my card. If you are wondering where I found all these cute characters – they are in the Playing In The Rain bundle which is in the new January – April 2023 mini catalogue and is available to order from tomorrow.

To get the effect of the sky, I inked up the Raindrops embossing folder with Tahitian Tide ink and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. I water coloured all the critters and Wink Of Stella added shine to the umbrella and clouds.

If you LOVE the cuteness of this bundle, and want more ideas to use it, be sure to check back tomorrow. I will post details of our Stamp Camp which is going to be on the 4th of March and will use this suite.
