Stampin’ creative Blog Hop – Season Of Chic

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this is Wow Cards!

This is my card for today, it is a simple fun fold, and the wow comes in when it starts to open

This is a really easy card to make. Start with a piece of card stock 21.0 x 21.0 cm
(8 1/4 x 8 1/4in). Score along the top and the left side at 7.0 cm (2 3/4 in) measure and mark 14cm (5.5 in) right and down from the top left corner. Score diagonally from one mark to the other. Fold and burnish the score lines pushing the diagonal lines towards each other. If these instructions aren’t making sense, join me for my Facebook live on Sunday morning at 10:00 am (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time – daylight savings come in on Sunday morning at 2:00am) and I will show you how it all comes together.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Hippest Hippo

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this is “Summer Sunshine”. Being in the southern hemisphere, we are freezing our little toes off, while our friends up north don’t know how to cope with the heat they are experiencing. It is so sad the we can’t send some cool air up to them, they can send some warm air to us and then everyone can be happy!!

Even though we don’t have much summer sunshine at the moment, I think my card definitely has a summery feel to it

If you don’t have the Hippest Hippos yet, you only have until the end of August to redeem them (free) as a Sale-A-Bration item and then they will be gone forever! I used all 3 hippos from the set on my car, the third one is hiding inside!

I am sure that the other ladies on the hop have some lovely sunny ideas to share with us, so be sure to hop all the way around.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Wonderful World DSP

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this “Creative Colouring”. Unfortunately for me, colouring is one place where my creativity is lacking. I have taken a huge amount of poetic licence with this one, and used DSP to selectively colour parts of the lattice.

The DSP will be available tomorrow and is part of the Wonderful World level 2
Sale-A-Bration reward. The flowers on the card were fussy cut from the another piece of the DSP pack. The sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments bundle which is well on its way to becoming my favourite bundle!

I am sure that the other ladies on the hop have some awesome colouring ideas to share with us, so be sure to hop all the way around.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Cottage Rose

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Simple Stamping”. The definition of simple stamping is to use stamps, inks and paper only. Many of us (me included) can;’t get away from adding some embellishments or ribbon to our cards. I decided to limit myself to one stamp set and one colour of ink and paper. this is the end result:

I did need to restrain myself as I really wanted to add some embellishments! However, this stamp is so pretty that it really doesn’t need anything extra. As always, I stamped the inside of the card to match and it does have a matching envelope.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Let’s Set Sail

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Blog-Hop-Header.jpg

Thank you for joining us for this Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Masculine Makes” We all seem to find masculine cards a bit more challenging. There are so many beautiful floral stamp sets, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to making feminine cards, but we battle to make cards for the men in our lives. Fortunately, there are some lovely masculines stamp sets that are available at the moment. One of my favourites is Let’s Set Sail. As an added bonus, you can bundle it with the Sailboat Builder punch.

This is a faux step card and look like this from the side

I have had a crazy couple of weeks, so things aren’t as up to date as I would like them to be. Check back here on Sunday, and I will have instructions on how to make this card posted.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Wildlife Wonder Angled Gate Fold

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Blog-Hop-Header.jpg

Thank you for joining us for this Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Fun Folds”. I LOVE fun fold cards. They are usually fairly easy to make, but have that WOW factor. We never discuss what we are doing for this hop, so it is going to be interesting to see if we get any duplicate folds. The card that I have chosen is an angled gate fold:

I used the Wildlife Wonder stamp set for all my stamping. The trees on the Layered Circle is cut with the Grove dies. The DSP is Beauty Of The Earth which will be retiring at the end of April. This DSP is a perfect fit for this stamp set, so if you want some of it, be sure to place your order before it is all gone! This is how the card looks as it opens:

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Home Sweet Home

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Blog-Hop-Header.jpg

Thank you for joining us for this Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Home Sweet Home!” I had the funniest thing happen a few weeks ago – I have a friend in Scotland and I ordered flowers for her for her birthday. She sent me a message to say thanks for the flowers and I’ll be using the bird seed at my new place. I couldn’t understand the message until I saw the photo that she sent:

I really don’t know why bird seed was sent with the flowers. If I had ordered animal food, it would have been dog biscuits as she has the cutest dachshund. If nothing else, we both had a good laugh about the bird seed. I decided that I would continue the theme and send her a card for her new home.

This is the view from the top of the card
