Festive Friday #FF0218 – Elegantly Wrapped

Thanks for joining us for this Festive Friday challenge. Have you ever played along with Festive Friday? There is a new challenge every second Friday. The challenge has an overall theme plus an inspiration list. You choose at least three of the inspiration elements and make a project. Your project can be a card, 3D item, or scrapbook layout and can reflect the main theme or just use the inspiration elements and have nothing to do with the theme. This is the inspiration list for this fortnight:

This is an easy theme as anything goes for World Card Making day.

The inspo item that I used are Jewel Colours (I was trying for ruby, sapphire and amber), Rhinestones (that I coloured to match the jewel colours) and Special Day Sentiment. The sentiment was done using the left over hot foil sheet and the Reverse Hot Foil Die

We Fall In Colours

Thank you for joining us for another We Fall In Colours blog hop. Each month we are given three colours and use those colours (together with neutrals) to make our cards. The colours for this month are Crushed Curry, Pool Party and Calypso Coral.

I love the Balloon Festoon bundle and these colours worked together to make a happy card.

Let’s Craft Together – Butterfly Flight

Thank you for joining us for the Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a group of multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is a fun fold birthday card and was set by Cheryl Hurst

I am part of a monthly collaboration called Fantastic Fun Folds. Each month we have a tutorial for one fancy fold card and 12 different samples using that tutorial. The card for August is a Triple Diamond Pop Up Card. I showed the assembly of this card in my Sunday Facebook live, and did that sample as a birthday card.

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop – Framed Violets

Welcome to another Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You may be starting at my blog or landed here from another one.
Each month there is a new Inspirational challenge. This month we have an inspirational image and color challenge, you can use either part to create your project i.e:
INK
use the color challenge to create a project unrelated to the image – {There will generally be 4-5 colors for the color challenge you may use some or all colors plus the Stampin’ Up! Basics Colors (Basic Beige, Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black)}
INSPIRATION
use the image subject as inspiration for your project any way you can tie them together is fine or if you are feeling super creative, use BOTH. This is the picture for today

I might have taken some poetic license with the colours – I used some Cherry Cobbler for the shading in the flowers, and as I don’t have a Garden Green Stampin’ Blend, I used Shaded Spruce instead.

I was happy that I had managed to use all the colours in this challenge.

Share It Sunday – Framed Violets

Thank you for joining us for our Share It Sunday blog hop (of course in Australia this goes live at 1:00am Monday morning, but it is a great start to the working week when we wake up!) There is no theme for this hop, it is for each of us to choose what project we want to share.

I have been doing assembly videos of the projects in the Avid Crafting Collective Framed Violets Tutorial Bundle. I am going to share the videos of the three cards that I designed for the bundle.

My first card is one that uses lots of little bits with vellum leaves.

Funky Folds Blog Hop – Balloon Festoon

I am excited to be participating in this month’s funky folds blog hop. I LOVE fun folds and this is a group of like-minded paper crafters with same same passion for making cards with
funky folds.
Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way” This hop features cards that are not the usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style.
All Blog Hops have an ‘anything goes’ theme using any type of ‘funky’ card fold.

I am part of a monthly collaboration called Fantastic Fun Folds. Each month we have a tutorial for one fancy fold card and 12 different samples using that tutorial. The tutorial for May was a”Pinwheel Pocket Pouch Card”.

This is a square card, but will fit into a standard envelope with some room at the ends.
I made this card during my Facebook live on Sunday. It was a bit chaotic because I couldn’t get the card to close. I think it was stage fright, because it closed easily off camera! Don’t let that scare you, it is easy and fun to make. You can watch the Facebook replay below.

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop – Wild Bunch

Welcome to another Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You may be starting at my blog or landed here from another one.
Each month there is a new Inspirational challenge. This month is a sketch challenge.

My card is a bit mean, it uses the Wild Bunch Product Of The Month stamp set which is sold out in a number of markets.
I made my card when I first received the stamp set and decided it was too cute not to share.

I also went a bit rogue – turned the sketch landscape instead of portrait. The position of my koalas meant that I couldn’t put my embellishments in a row along the bottom of my strips, so they decided to alternate and the sentiment went where it found a place. Hopefully you can see the sketch that was the starting point for my card.

Once again my card has nothing to do with the day – National Bikini Day (unless the butterflies are flying around at the beach) but the colours worked beautifully with my butterflies. The inspo items that I used are purple, pink, blue and sequins.

Product Of The Month Blog Hop – Wild Bunch

Welcome to our Product Of The Month (POM) blog hop. If you haven’t heard of POM yet, this is what it is all about. Stampin’ Up! has started a new monthly promotion. Every month there will be a new product. To get your hands on the product, all you need to do is place an order. If your order is $125 (in Australia – the $ amount will differ depending on your market) then you can add the Product Of The Month to your order for only $9. We won’t know in advance what the POM will be. It could be a stamp set, embellishments, ribbon, dies or any other paper crafting product. No matter what it is, paying $9 is a bargain!

This month’s POM is a super cute stamp set – Wild Bunch. If you place an order with me and purchase the POM stamp set, I will send you a tutorial featuring projects using this stamp set. This is in addition to my usual thank you tutorial bundle. All the little critters in this stamp set are adorable, I used the bull for my card.

It was really easy to stamp the party hat onto his head, and gave him the added festive cheer. If you are wondering about the embossing behind him, this is a sneak peek of a new embossing folder – Swirls Of Magic which will be available from 1st July. The presents were fussy cut and stuck around him. The DSP started out as a 7.0 cm (2 3/4″) square that I cut in half on the diagonal.

Touches Of Ink Blog Hop – Fern & Flora

Thanks for joining us for this month’s Touches of Ink Blog Hop. This is a fun hop – it focuses on suites and/or bundles. We don’t discuss what we are going to be using for the hop which means that everyone will use something different, or we might all decide that we want to use the same products!

My card is a really easy, (but in my opinion) really effective card that uses the Fern & Flora bundle and the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder which is one of the elements of the suite.

The stamp set has a butterfly and a moth in it, and for reasons that I am not sure about, I decided that the moth is more masculine and was the one that wanted to go on the masculine card.

I made this style of card during my Facebook live on Sunday. The one I made uses the Floral Spray 3D Embossing Folder and the butterfly from the Fern & Flora bundle. You can watch the replay below. If you watch to the end, I do show the Peaceful Pine card and talk about the products that I used.
