Stampin’ creative Blog Hop – Season Of Chic

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this is Wow Cards!

This is my card for today, it is a simple fun fold, and the wow comes in when it starts to open

This is a really easy card to make. Start with a piece of card stock 21.0 x 21.0 cm
(8 1/4 x 8 1/4in). Score along the top and the left side at 7.0 cm (2 3/4 in) measure and mark 14cm (5.5 in) right and down from the top left corner. Score diagonally from one mark to the other. Fold and burnish the score lines pushing the diagonal lines towards each other. If these instructions aren’t making sense, join me for my Facebook live on Sunday morning at 10:00 am (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time – daylight savings come in on Sunday morning at 2:00am) and I will show you how it all comes together.

Be sure to hop around and see what all the other ladies have created to wow us. Below is the link list:

Kindest Gnomes Pillar Card

Yesterday I participated in our bi-monthly virtual event – Global SU Share Fair. If you haven’t joined this event before, it is an exclusive customer event. We have an invitation only Facebook page and 16 presenters from all over the world. We invite our customers to the page, and we each present a card using a different stamp set. This gives tons of inspiration and showcases multiple stamp sets from the current catalogues. If you are one of my customers and haven’t joined the group, please let me know and I will ensure that you get an invitation.

For my presentation, I used the Storybook Gnomes suite from the July – December 2022 mini catalogue. This is the card that I presented:

Share It Sunday – Seasons Of Chic

I have been working on a relatively simple but very effective fun fold card and having lots of fun playing with the Texture Chic suite. If you haven’t seen this suite yet, you are missing out! The DSP is awesome!

The surprise come when it opens:

I made a Pool Party one for my Facebook live. You can watch the replay below:

Diagonal Easel Fold Kits In The Mail

The new annual catalogue goes live today!! Do you have your wish list ready? I have been working with 11 other demonstrators, and we have started a new collaboration which will start this month. Each month we are creating a new fun fold tutorial. The tutorial has instructions to make the card, and examples of 12 different versions of that card.

I am going to make up kits which can be purchased (in Australia) for $12 per month (including postage). Each kit will contain the card stock and embellishments to make 2 cards. You will also get the PDF of the tutorial and a link to an unlisted video demonstrating how to make up your kit.

The tutorial this month is for a diagonal easel card.

The cards this month are all featuring pansies. The kit contains the card stock and DSP for 2 cards. There are 8 pansies and 6 leaves (assorted colours) and a strip of iridescent rhinestones. I used the Pansy patch stamp set (you can use any sentiments that you have on hand). If you want to make more of these cards you can stamp the pansies and cut them out with the coordinating Pansy dies. You will need ink pads, Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhesive to complete the cards. Click here to order these products from my online store. You can add additional items to the cart or remove ones that you already have on hand. Please remember to use the host code on the side when you place your order. The products can be ordered directly from Stampin’ Up!, but the order for the kit needs to be placed directly with me. Please send me an email at TraceOfCreativity@outlook.com to place your order.

If you live don’t love in Australia and you would like to purchase a kit, feel free to shoot me an email and I will put you onto one of the demonstrators in your market. Please be aware that the cards in the kit won’t be the same, but the tutorial will.

I am looking forward to sharing these amazing tutorials with you.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Let’s Set Sail

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Blog-Hop-Header.jpg

Thank you for joining us for this Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Masculine Makes” We all seem to find masculine cards a bit more challenging. There are so many beautiful floral stamp sets, you are spoiled for choice when it comes to making feminine cards, but we battle to make cards for the men in our lives. Fortunately, there are some lovely masculines stamp sets that are available at the moment. One of my favourites is Let’s Set Sail. As an added bonus, you can bundle it with the Sailboat Builder punch.

This is a faux step card and look like this from the side

I have had a crazy couple of weeks, so things aren’t as up to date as I would like them to be. Check back here on Sunday, and I will have instructions on how to make this card posted.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Below is the list of all the hop participants. Be sure to visit them all to see what they have created. We love hearing from you, so please leave us comments to let us know what you think about our projects

Easter Blog Hop

A couple of weeks ago Genna Gifford from The Stamper’s Mess invited me over to peruse the new catalogue. (If you haven’t heard of Genna, visit her Facebook page here to see her awesome work.) She asked if I wanted to make a card, and of course the answer is never no! We made this cute Easter card which is the perfect project for today’s blog hop.

This uses the Easter Friends stamp set and (soon to be retired) Pattern Party DSP. The image is stamped onto fluid watercolor paper and coloured with ink and water painters. Although it look brown, the bunny uses Gray Granite and Basic Gray ink. The surprise comes when you open the card – it is a gate fold!

Wishing everyone a happy Easter and a relaxing and safe long weekend. Here is the lost so that you can hop around and see what everyone else has created.

Any orders placed by the 20th April 2022 will get a tutorial bundle as a thank you. This month’s bundle features a variety of Spring themed cards using products from the 2021-2022 annual and the January – June mini catalogues, and contains 13 different (and stunning) designs by 13 international demonstrators. These cards can easily be adapted to make a Mother’s Day card (and possibly get you into the position of favourite child!) Below is a sneak peek of the projects included in the bundle.

Wildlife Wonder Angled Gate Fold Card

As I promised in my blog post last Thursday, I made the angled gate fold card during my Facebook live on Sunday. If you missed the original post, you can see it here. (The card shown in that post is slightly different to this one).

I had a bit of a drama during the live when i couldn’t find the DSP for my focal point. I have uploaded the replay (with the oopsie in it, so if you don’t want to watch me making a mess, feel free to fast forward that bit!). This is what the card looks like as it is opening:

Pansy Petals Birthday Card

Thank you for joining us for the April Blogging Friends hop. The theme for this hop is “Flowers” The northern hemisphere is moving into warmer weathers and will have flowers in bloom, and in the southern hemisphere we are heading for cooler weather and the flowers on cards that don’t die will be keeping our spirits up.

Pansy Petals is one of the bundles that will be carrying over to the new catalogue, but the DSP will not. One of the fun features of this DSP is that the images on it co-ordinate with the Pansy dies. This is one of the projects that I did for the Bundle Bonus collaboration. If you would like to know more about this, you can find the details here. The card has a surprise inside.

Here is the video that was part of the Bundle Bonus

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope everyone has a fun and creative weekend. Be sure to hop around and see what everyone else has created.
