Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Spotlight On Nature

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! This month’s theme is “New Annual Catalogue”

This card is inspired by a card that was created by Rosie Spezzano that I made as a shoe box swap at a craft retreat that we were at together.

I did a stepped down version of this card for a virtual catalogue launch that was focused on beginner stamping.

You can watch the video for the making of this card below.

Be sure to hop all the way around and see what has inspired the other ladies in the new catalogue. Please leave comments for us – we love getting feedback about our work!

Let’s Craft Together – Country Flowers

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a group of
multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is a “Rustic Challenge” that was set by Mandy Witherby.

This is not my usual style of crafting, so I hope that I managed to capture the theme. You are probably thinking that I say this often in these hops- I do. One of the great things about these challenges is that it pushes me out of my comfort zone and makes me think differently.

It always amazes me how we all have the same starting point, and come up with completely different projects. Hop around and see how everyone else has interpreted this challenge.

Stampin’ Sunday – Attention Shoppers Gift Card Holder

Thank you for joining us for our Sunday blog hop (of course in Australia this goes live at 1:00am Monday morning, but it is a great start to the working week when we wake up!) There is no theme for this hop, it is for each of us to choose what project we want to share.

My project is a sneak peek of one of the new bundles that is coming in the new catalogue – Attention Shoppers. This card was demonstrated by Mikaela Titheridge at OnStage. Her card was a slimline card, so I did change the measurements to that it would fit into a standard envelope.

Below is the replay of my Facebook live. Please be aware that I messed it up! I grabbed a usual sized insert instead of the slightly smaller one that I needed for this card. If you follow the measurements and use the correct pieces, the mechanism slides beautifully – exactly like it is supposed to!

If you tried to watch the video earlier and didn’t have sound, please try again. I have uploaded it again and you can hear me this time

Chain Card Swap Wrap Up and a Virtual Challenge

I have reached the end of the blog hops of the card chains. If you missed any of the posts, you can click on the picture below and it will take you to my blog post for that chain. In the post I give you a link to the first card in the hop. You can follow the link list through and that will take you through the cards in the chain order. A big thank you to Genna Gifford for putting these pictures together. The hops were done in alphabetical order of our first names – each one is per card design and can be viewed in any order.

We have started the next season of the card swap. There are ten of us this time around. We have a two week turn around which will take us to the middle of August. The blog hops for the next round will start around the beginning of September.

I have had lots of people telling me how much they have enjoyed these posts and love the idea of the CASE challenge. I know that it isn’t the same, but I have started a monthly CASE challenge on my Facebook page. You can watch the explanation of the challenge and the assembly of the first card below.

The PDF tutorial that I mention can be downloaded here. Please make your card and upload a photo here. I am looking forward to seeing different variations on this card theme.

Chain Card Swap – Translucent Florals

At the beginning of October, I started a fun journey with 10 other Australian demonstrators. We called it a “Chain Card Swap”. It is a card version of what is called “Chinese Whispers” in Australia (we called it “Broken Telephone” in South Africa). Each of us designed a card (round 1) and sent it off to one of the other participants. That person CASE-d (Copy And Share Everything) the card and send their version on to the next person. The card made its way around until finally a version came home to the maker. This is the final card in a series of blog hops for each of the card designs to share the fun and amazement at the evolution.

This was the card that I designed, so I am the first stop on this hop. I apologise for the quality of my photos in this post. I was so excited to get my card sent off, I forgot to take a photo. Photos were very kindly taken for me, but they aren’t my usual standard.

This is a simple gate fold card that opens like this:

Stampin’ Dreams – Sending Smiles

Thank you for joining us for another Stampin’ Dreams blog hop. The theme for this month is “Florals”. I am using the Sending Smiles stamp set and Sending dies. Both of these are retiring with the current annual catalogue. If you want them, they are discounted last chance products.

This is one of my favourite stamp and die sets, and I am going to be really sad once it is gone.

Chain Card Swap – Notes Of Nature

At the beginning of October, I started a fun journey with 10 other Australian demonstrators. We called it a “Chain Card Swap”. It is a card version of what is called “Chinese Whispers” in Australia (we called it “Broken Telephone” in South Africa). Each of us designed a card (round 1) and sent it off to one of the other participants. That person CASE-d (Copy And Share Everything) the card and send their version on to the next person. The card made its way around until finally a version came home to the maker. This is the fourth card in series of blog hops for each of the card designs to share the fun and amazement at the evolution.

The next card that we are sharing was designed by Genna Gifford. My suggestion is that you start at her Facebook post and then click through the link list which is in round order. My CASE of her card was at round and again, was completely different to the original (although I think you can see the resemblance to the card that I received from Sharni).

The Notes Of Nature bundle is retiring at the end of April, but the Nature’s Sweetness DSP and the Layered Florals embossing folder is carrying over to the new annual catalogue.

Thank you for joining us for our Sunday blog hop (of course in Australia this goes live at 2:00am Monday morning, but it is a great start to the working week when we wake up!) There is no theme for this hop, it is for each of us to choose what project we want to share.

Today I am sharing the card that I made during my Facebook live this morning. It uses the Flowering Zinnia suite. The circle die cut is a sneak peek from a new product that will be available in the new annual catalogue – Spotlight On Nature dies.

If you love this suite and want more inspiring ideas on how to use it, join our Stamp Camp. There is a class kit for people in Australia or a tutorial only option for non-residents. Click here for more information.
