I am happy to be taking part in Kylie’s Monthly International Blog Highlights again.
The theme for this hop is “Thank you”. Many people forget those simple words. I have seen people’s days brightened because someone said a simple thank you to them.
Show your appreciation to people in your lives who have inspired you, helped you or supported you by sending them a thank you card.

There are some products that will be retiring soon, so if you want them you need to order them ASAP to avoid disappointment. The star of the card is the Artistically Inked bundle. this set is carrying over, but in the new catalogue will no longer be available at the bundled price (less 10%). The other retiring items are the Pattern Party DSP and the 2021-2023 In Color jewels. The die that i used for the sentiment is one that probably never though it would be used like this – it is from the Horizon dies.

As always, I stamped the inside of the card too

Amazing Silhouettes Thank You Card

Sometimes the universe aligns itself, and things come together like they had been planned! This month’s VLOG hop was delayed a week, and the theme is “Thank You”. The date (and go live time) happened to be exactly the same as Kylie’s International blog which is also a thank you theme. Light bulb moment – use the same card!!

When I initially saw the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set, I knew that I wanted to use it with the baby wipes technique. I am very happy with the finished look. The Amazing Thanks dies are really easy to layer. Remember you can bundle them together to get a 10% discount. These dies work very happily with the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine which is currently available at a 20% discount, along with a selection of dies.

Here are the measurements for the card:
Metric:
Card Base (Basic White) 19.5 cm x 14.9 cm. Score at 10.5 cm
First Layer (Pool Part) 14.4 cm x 8.5 cm
Second Layer (Basic White) 13.9 cm x 8.0 cm
DSP (Pattern Party) 14.9 cm x 2 cm
Scraps of Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzaz, Basic White and Pattern Party DSP for the Thanks die cuts
Imperial:
Card Base (Basic White) 7 3/4″ x 5 1/2″. Score at 4 1/4″
First Layer (Pool Part) 5 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
Second Layer (Basic White) 5″ x 3″
DSP (Pattern Party) 5 1/2″ x 7/8″
Scraps of Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Pear Pizzaz, Basic White and Pattern Party DSP for the Thanks die cuts

In the video below I show you how to stamp using the baby wipes technique to make you multi-coloured ink pad and how to assemble the card. Be sure to hop around the other videos (links to the next video are in the description) for some great thank you ideas.

I have used the Stitched Triangles dies for the corners along the the Simply Marbleous DSP. This DSP is beautiful, and is one of those items that money can’t buy – it can however be redeemed with a qualifying order as a Sale-A-Bration reward! If you are wondering where the “Thanks” is from, it is a die from the Word Wishes set that I modified slightly. It used to say Thanksgiving! These cards look lovely in all of the colours in the Simply Marbleous paper. Be sure to get your pack before they are all gone.

I tend to find inspiration in everyday items. One of my favourite things is coffee. I LOVE a latte! I usually use my keep cup, but every now and again I don’t have it with me. so I will get a take away cup. When I got this one, I knew it had to be made into a card.

Sometimes cards take on a life of their own, and the finished cards lands up looking completely different to what inspired it. This time, I think that you can see the resemblance.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Saying Thanks with Sunflowers

Thank you for joining us for the September 2021 Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Sending Thanks”.

Last summer my neighbour had the most beautiful sunflowers growing in his front garden. Every time I walked past his house I stopped to admire them. He was outside one day when I walked past, and I told him how much happiness his sunflowers had brought to me. he said that he had some seeds from them, and he would let me have some, Last week I found an envelope full of sunflower seeds in my letter box! I have made a card that I gave to him (if you want to see it, hop over to my Facebook page, I did that as a live), but I can’t get sunflowers off my mind, so I decided to make another one!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Below is the list of all the hop participants. Be sure to visit them all to see what summer dreams they have to share. We love hearing from you, so please leave us comments to let us know what you think about our projects.
