Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Elephant Parade

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is Winter Holidays. As it is so close to Christmas, I decided that I would focus my thoughts a bit further and do a new year card. However, I couldn’t find a happy new year greeting, so I had to think out of the box! This is what I came up with:

I used the Elephant Parade bundle and Days To Remember stamp set Once I had made this card, I did find a happy new year stamp – it is in the Brightest Glow stamp set. In my defense, I didn’t have this stamp set when I was making my card!

Below is a video that I did last year. It isn’t this card, but does show you how to position the days to get the month that you want aligned.

Be sure to complete the hop to see all the wonderful ideas that we have to share with you. The next stop is Julia Mazur – I can’t wait to see what she has created this month!

Easter Blog Hop

A couple of weeks ago Genna Gifford from The Stamper’s Mess invited me over to peruse the new catalogue. (If you haven’t heard of Genna, visit her Facebook page here to see her awesome work.) She asked if I wanted to make a card, and of course the answer is never no! We made this cute Easter card which is the perfect project for today’s blog hop.

This uses the Easter Friends stamp set and (soon to be retired) Pattern Party DSP. The image is stamped onto fluid watercolor paper and coloured with ink and water painters. Although it look brown, the bunny uses Gray Granite and Basic Gray ink. The surprise comes when you open the card – it is a gate fold!

Wishing everyone a happy Easter and a relaxing and safe long weekend. Here is the lost so that you can hop around and see what everyone else has created.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Party Time!!

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Blog-Hop-Header.jpg

Thank you for joining us for the December 2021 Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Party Time!” As we approach the end of the year, I think that everybody is ready to party- either to celebrate the end of 2021 or to welcome in 2022. The last 2 years have been hard, and we are all hoping that 2022 is going to be getting back to a new normal.

I have made a Z-fold card using the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set and Love you More Than dies with the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. The sentiment is cut from the (soon to be retired) Black Glitter Paper and Word Wishes dies

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Below is the list of all the hop participants. Be sure to visit them all to see what Party Times they have to share. We love hearing from you, so please leave us comments to let us know what you think about our projects. From all of us on the Stampin’ Creative team, we wish you a safe and happy New Years’ Eve and everything of the best for 2022.

12 Weeks of Christmas – Week 8

I hope that you are well on your way to having all your Christmas cards made. If they haven’t been posted, it is time to get them into the mail. Here is another card to add to the collection

This is an easy card suing the Christmas Trees dies and Expressions in Ink DSP. I have mixed everything into this card, the sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. It isn’t showing up too9 well in the photo, but the trees have some Wink of Stella brushed over them to add the finishing sparkle.

Virtual Christmas Card Class

I was hoping that we were going to be able to get together for card classes, but with the current lockdown rules, I don’t think that is going to be an option any time soon.

Seeing as we are already in October and I don’t anticipate that we will be able to meet in person before the end of November, this would be a bit late to start making Christmas cards!

So, I am going to host an online class, either by Zoom, or using a different video conferencing app that I am currently investigating (details to follow).

I will post out the kits and you will get the materials to make 6 cards (2 each of 3 different designs).  The kits will have all the card stock, designer series paper and die cuts required to complete your cards.

In addition, you will need to add sentiments using whatever stamp sets you have in your stash (contact me if you would like any new ones), ink to stamp the sentiments, and adhesives (glue and dimensionals).

The cost of the class will be $40 (including postage).  Once I have finished designing the cards, I will let you know what we are making.  One of them will definitely be a pinwheel tower card – you may have seen that these are the latest craze and they are fun to make with a wow factor!

Please let me know as soon as possible if you are going to participate to allow enough time for your kits to get to you (I am sure that you are aware that post is taking a bit longer at the moment).

If you need any supplies (stamp sets or consumables for the class), feel free to contact me and I will put in an order for you, or you can go to my online store and place the order yourself.

I hope that you will join me for a fun afternoon of crafting!  If you know anyone who would like to join us, please feel free to share this post with them.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Layering Triangles

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Thinking of You” with an emphasis on the men in our lives.
You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has something exciting to share with us!

A few months ago I made cards using layering circles and squares. If you missed that post, you can see it here. For today I decided to try the same thing, but using triangles. This card is really easy if you use the stitched triangles dies. The DSP in the background is from the Pattern Party pack which can be purchased using Stampin’ Rewards.

I tried using alternating colours on the triangles and with the colour running consecutively across the two. Which one do you prefer?

You can watch my video below to see how I made these cards

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Curvy Christmas Card

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “December Holidays”. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. Didn’t she have a great project?

I am using the Curvy Christmas stamp set again along with the Classic Christmas DSP. Aren’t human beings ridiculous? Give us a straight stamp and we want to curve it! This sentiment stamp is curved, so of course I had to pull it straight! The DSP pack has Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand (used in this card) and Shaded Spruce as the colour palate. I also used the Brushed Metallic cardstock
