Virtual Christmas Card Class

I was hoping that we were going to be able to get together for card classes, but with the current lockdown rules, I don’t think that is going to be an option any time soon.

Seeing as we are already in October and I don’t anticipate that we will be able to meet in person before the end of November, this would be a bit late to start making Christmas cards!

So, I am going to host an online class, either by Zoom, or using a different video conferencing app that I am currently investigating (details to follow).

I will post out the kits and you will get the materials to make 6 cards (2 each of 3 different designs).  The kits will have all the card stock, designer series paper and die cuts required to complete your cards.

In addition, you will need to add sentiments using whatever stamp sets you have in your stash (contact me if you would like any new ones), ink to stamp the sentiments, and adhesives (glue and dimensionals).

The cost of the class will be $40 (including postage).  Once I have finished designing the cards, I will let you know what we are making.  One of them will definitely be a pinwheel tower card – you may have seen that these are the latest craze and they are fun to make with a wow factor!

Please let me know as soon as possible if you are going to participate to allow enough time for your kits to get to you (I am sure that you are aware that post is taking a bit longer at the moment).

If you need any supplies (stamp sets or consumables for the class), feel free to contact me and I will put in an order for you, or you can go to my online store and place the order yourself.

I hope that you will join me for a fun afternoon of crafting!  If you know anyone who would like to join us, please feel free to share this post with them.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Layering Triangles

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Thinking of You” with an emphasis on the men in our lives.
You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has something exciting to share with us!

A few months ago I made cards using layering circles and squares. If you missed that post, you can see it here. For today I decided to try the same thing, but using triangles. This card is really easy if you use the stitched triangles dies. The DSP in the background is from the Pattern Party pack which can be purchased using Stampin’ Rewards.

I tried using alternating colours on the triangles and with the colour running consecutively across the two. Which one do you prefer?

You can watch my video below to see how I made these cards

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Curvy Christmas Card

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “December Holidays”. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. Didn’t she have a great project?

I am using the Curvy Christmas stamp set again along with the Classic Christmas DSP. Aren’t human beings ridiculous? Give us a straight stamp and we want to curve it! This sentiment stamp is curved, so of course I had to pull it straight! The DSP pack has Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand (used in this card) and Shaded Spruce as the colour palate. I also used the Brushed Metallic cardstock

Hello Harvest apple card

I am very excited to be participating in a new blog hop today. the theme of this month’s hop is “Harvest moon”. The directions were to create a fall themed harvest card. It is always interesting when I am participating in a global blog hop, being in the Southern Hemisphere, I am in opposite seasons to my Northern Hemisphere friends, we are going into Spring and starting to see some warmer weather.

I have taken some poetic license with the theme. Jewish New Year is coming up in 2 weeks time, and the tradition for this festival is apple and honey. We are currently in stage 4 lock down, and don’t know what we will be allowed to do with gathering with family and friends and having big celebrations. The best way to spread cheer this year might be with a card.

We can only hope that although the timing is strange on the Roman calendar, the start of this new year will bring some much needed new beginnings to this crazy world.

Thanks for dropping by my blog. i hope that you have fun hopping along to day. Be sure to leave a comment as we all love to know if you enjoy our projects.
