Christmas Blog Hop – Merriest Trees Stack, Cut & Shuffle card

This is a very busy time of the year! For today’s hop we are sharing what we are currently busy doing. I would like to think by now that all my Christmas cards would be making their way to their new homes. Unfortunately, I am very behind this year and am still busy writing messages in my cards. I am hoping that I have enough made enough cards to send out to everyone.

I had lots of fun making cards using the stack, cut and shuffle technique. It feels like I am getting more cards for less effort. Below is a video showing how I made these cards.

Hop around and see what everyone else is busy doing for their Christmas preparation.

Let’s craft Together – December Bush Christmas

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a group of
multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is “A Bush Christmas” and was set by Ann Alexander. This is our picture for inspiration.

My card looks nothing like this! In fact, I have followed a convoluted logic to completely mangle the theme! I interpreted the theme as relating to the Australian bush. I don’t have and stamps with Australian flowers. I do have the Wild & Sweet stamp set which has a beautiful koala. The theme for my card morphed into an Australian Christmas and it looks like this:

I carried the bauble theme into the inside of the card.

Let’s Craft Together – November Sketch Challenge

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Let’s Craft Together blog hop. We are a group of
multi-cultural Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators in Australia who have developed a strong friendship though our love of stamping and our admiration of each other’s style of crafting. Each month one of us sets a challenge that we use for the blog hop. This month’s challenge is a sketch challenge that was set by Annette McMillan. This is the sketch:

I am working on Christmas cards, so I used the sketch for another one.

I used the Cottage Wreaths stamp set, Country Wreaths dies and Merriest Trees bundle. I heat embossed the baubles and sentiment with gold embossing powder. The presents were die cut and stuck along the bottom.

Share It Sunday – Merriest Trees

Thank you for joining us for our Sunday blog hop (of course in Australia this goes live at 2:00am Monday morning, but it is a great start to the working week when we wake up!) There is no theme for this hop, it is for each of us to choose what project we want to share.

I am still working on Christmas cards, and this is a fun one in non-traditional colours.

I stamped some baubles on the inside to finish it off

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop – September 2023

Welcome to the September 2023 Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You may be starting at my blog or landed here from another one.
Each month there is a new Inspirational image and colour challenge. This month we have a different type of challenge – the colour challenge is to select one of your favorite colour palette(s) from the new September – December 2023 Mini Catalogue. The image is a sketch challenge:

I took a very narrow focus for the colour challenge (possibly because I was so excited about the sketch I didn’t read the description properly) and just used the colours in one piece of DSP from the O Holy Night pack.

Technique Tuesday – Simple Stamping with Gift Of Giving

Thank you for joining us for our Technique Tuesday blog hop. The theme this month is “Simple Stamping”. This is one of the most difficult stamping techniques for me. I always need to go and add to my cards until they aren’t so simple any more! When I started with this card, I had ideas for how I was going to add and embellish the stamped images. I did the stamping and then hit a barrier – I loved the card and couldn’t bring myself to add anything more to it!
