2022-2023 Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

One of our most exciting times of the year is when a new catalogue goes live. In today’s blog hop we are show casing our favourite products. With so many lovely exciting products, it is difficult to choose your favourite favourite!

I have combined elements from different suites to make this card. I used the Teacup dies, Hues Of Happiness DSP and 2022-2024 In Colour Glimmer paper.

Add a cute little teacup with a Ferrero Rocher inside and you have the perfect combination for Mother’s Day. If you want to make some of the teacups, you can see the replay of last week’s Facebook live here.

If you want to know how to create this card, join me for my Facebook live on Sunday morning at 10:00 and I’ll show you how I made it. if you haven’t already liked my Facebook page, you can find it here.

Hop around and see what everyone else loves in the new catalogue.

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop – In The Moment with Simply Marbleous DSP

Welcome to the December 2021 Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You may be starting at my blog or landed here from another one.
Our theme this month is “My Favourite Stampin’ Up! product”. I find it very difficult to narrow it down to my favourite product. I think it depends on my mood, the day and what type pf project I am working on.
At the moment, I am loving new stuff. Today my cards will be giving you a sneak peek of a new stamp set, a new Sale-A-Bration offering and some new embellishments – they come together to make my favourite (for the moment) cards!

In The Moment stamp set has 3 different images – the one I have used for my cards, a lady looking out of the window holding a coffee cup and the third one is a lady relaxing on a bed with her dog reading a book. The sentiments offer words of encouragement. This is a lovely stamp set to send a card to a friend.

The DSP is called Simply Marbleous, and you will definitely want to chose that as a
Sale-A-Bration reward. The pack has pink, blue, green, yellow, purple and green sheets in it. One side has a soft marble look and the other is a darker shade with lots of swirls.

Stamp the lady into your circle. Stamp another one onto a post it note and cut it out. Cover the image on the circle with the post it note and colour over ith with Balmy Blue and a blending brush. Stamp the image onto your DSP and cut out the dress. Be sure to cut the bottom of the dress longer so that it will come down to the bottom of the circle. I used the grey and yellow DSP for the hats, but you could use the same colour as the dress. Stick the DSP onto your image on the circle and colour the rest of it with your Stampin’ blends,

For this card I cut two strips at 1.0cm (3/8″) and one strip 1.5cm (3/4″).

For the second card i decided to layer the design onto a Blushing Bride card base. I cut my DSP 9.5cm x 9.5cm (3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″) and then cut it from corner to corner to make 2 triangles. The finishing bling is the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Gems.

I hope that you are having some down time from work, and looking through your new catalogues and writing up your wish list. You are currently visiting Tracy Held at Trace Of Creativity in Australia. Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects.

If you live in Australia and don’t have a demonstrator, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to assist you with your stamping needs. You can also shop from home at my online store.

If you are like me and need to have absolutely everything in the catalogue, give some thought to joining my team! There is a great sign up special on until the end of November, you can sign up as a demonstrator for $130 (usually $169) and choose $235 worth of products for your starter kit! Talk to me if you would like more information, or you can sign up now.

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop – Pansy Petals Drapery Fold

Welcome to the November 2021 Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You may be starting at my blog or landed here from another one.
Our theme this month is “Use Your Stash!”. Like a lot of us, I tend to hoard my DSP. Logically I know that this is a silly thing to do. Using DSP is an easy way to make beautiful cards, but you look at a sheet of paper and think “that is too pretty to cut into”. The a new catalogue comes along and there is new pretty DSP to add to the stash, and so it grows!

This is a drapery fold using the Pansy Petals DSP. I have cut into it to make it look like a curtain that has been tied back. For the fold, you need a piece of DSP that is
14.5cm x 14.5cm (5 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). Score at 2.5cm , 4.0cm, 6.5cm, 8.0cm, 10.5cm, 12.0cm
(1″, 1 1/2″, 2 1/2″, 3″, 4″, 4 1/2″). Place the bottom right corner of the DSP on the edge of your paper trimmer and the bottom left corner on the cutting track and cut along the diagonal.
Accordion pleat along the score lines. Give it a good press with your bone folder. Cut a slit up to the edge of the first pleat. Fold the paper back along the cut up to the top and bottom corner. Tie a ribbon here so that it looks like it is holding your curtain back. Attach to your card with tear ‘n tape.

An additional feature of the DSP is that it coordinates with the Pansy dies. You can use the dies to cut the pansies and leaves out of the DSP.

I hope my card has inspired you to get stuck in and use up your stash! You are currently visiting Tracy Held at Trace Of Creativity in Australia. Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects.

Sneak peek – Heart and Home Suite

I spent the weekend with a lovely group of ladies at a craft retreat in Rye for the Stampin’ Up! virtual convention. I had a fantastic weekend, and although I went in only knowing one of the demonstrators, I came home with 5 new friends.

That is what makes the Stampin’ Up! community so special. If you want to join this community, there is a fantastic signing up offer on at the moment.

By now you have seen heaps of samples of the cards that we made during the convention playing with new products from the January – June 2022 mini catalogue. These are two that you haven’t seen. These are my alternative versions of the make ‘n takes.

The blue card uses the reverse side of the green DSP that you would have seen in the samples that have been posted. All the paper in this pack has a wood grain Basic Grey and White pattern on the reverse side. Don’t you love the little bees? There is a second bundle in this suite, which is on the top of my wish list! I am sure that you will want to add the suite to yours too!

Delivering Cheer

I am happy to be taking part in Kylie’s Monthly International Blog Highlights again.
The theme for this hop is “Thank you”. Many people forget those simple words. I have seen people’s days brightened because someone said a simple thank you to them.
Show your appreciation to people in your lives who have inspired you, helped you or supported you by sending them a thank you card

Every alternate month I participate in an online event with 15 other international demonstrators, and we each do a Facebook love presentation. This is the card that I presented last weekend. I didn’t put a sentiment on the card, as I didn’t want anything taking attention away from my lady. I would either put a small sentiment on the front of the card, or stamp a thank you inside. If you would like to join this online event, place on order at my online store and i will send out an invitation to the event.
Below is a replay of the live.

Measurements:
Card Base (Evening Evergreen) 14.9x16cm / 5 1/2 x 6 1/2″. Score at 10.5cm / 4 1.2″
Silver specialty paper 14.1 x 10cm / 5 1/4 x 4″
Early Espresso 10 x 20cm / 4 x 8″
Basic White 9.5 x 9.5cm / 3 3/4 x 3 3/4″
Hand Penned DSP (Pale Papaya) 5.2 x 14.6cm and 9.5 x 1cm / 2 1/8 x 5 3/8 and 3 3/4 x 3/8″ (Green) 9.7 x 9.7 cm / 3 7/8 x 3 7/8″

Our theme this month is “Thinking of You” with an emphasis on ladies.
You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has something exciting to share with us!

This theme at this time of the year, would have to lead us to be thinking about Mother’s Day. I have chosen to use the beautiful Fine Art Floral Suite. If you know me, you will find this card quite unusual, as aside from the sentiment (which is inside the card) it has no stamping!

This is a fun fold card which flaps open twice, and the sentiment is inside. The sentiment is from the Dressed to Impress stamp set.

You can watch my video below for full instructions about how to create this fun fold

Click on the button below to stay in Australia and hop over to Annette’s blog to see what she has chosen to share with us.

Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop May 2020 – Timeless Tulips

Thank you for joining us for our Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Monthly Team Blog Hop! We are so happy that you could join us today for this blog hop for ideas and creative inspiration. We are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the world that are taking part in training that is helping us to build a successful Stampin’ Up!® business and reach some goals we have set. We really appreciate your support. You may be starting here or may have come from another blog – either way, you can find the link list at the bottom of this post so that you can see every blog post and idea today.

I used the Timeless Tulips and punch with the Perennial Essence DSP and the Ornate Layers dies. I started with an embossed piece of card stock and DSP that were cut to size for the first layer of my card. Once I had die cut the centre piece, I could use the positive and negative of both pieces to make 2 cards
To get the shading on the tulips, I inked the stamp with Petal Pink, and then with a very light hand and Gorgeous Grape on a sponge dauber, lightly dabbed the edges of the stamp

I didn’t put a sentiment on the cards, because I couldn’t decide which one I wanted, and sometimes a card doesn’t need a sentiment!
