Technique Tuesday

Thank you for joining us for our Technique Tuesday blog hop. The technique that we are sharing this month is masking. I have used the Two Tone Flora Dies to make my own mask. I also got two cards for one amount of effort.

Use the die cut as a mask and apply colour with your blending brushes.

Then use the piece that you are using as a mask to make a second card

If you want to see how I made these cards, join me foe my Facebook live at 10:00 on Sunday morning (12 February). You can find my Facebook page here.

Be sure to hop all the way around and see what masking techniques everyone else has to share with us

Technique Tuesday Blog Hop – Fragrant Flowers

Thank you for joining us for our Technique Tuesday blog hop. The technique that we are sharing this month is embossing. Heat embossing is one of my favourite techniques. It doesn’t matter how many time I have seen it, I still enjoy seeing the embossing powder melt! For me, heat embossing is an easy way to add some WOW! to a card.

Most of the products in this card are from the new January – April 2023 mini catalogue. You will be able to order them from tomorrow. These are some items that you may want to add to your wish list.
The flowers are stamped (embossed) and die cut using the Fragrant Flowers bundle. The DSP is the Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty DSP from the Delicate Desert suite. The sentiment is from the Artistically Inked stamp set and is embossed onto vellum.

A strip if DSP on the insert gives the finishing touch.

Below is the complete link list. Be sure to visit all the blogs to see what everyone has done with embossing

Art Gallery Two Step Stamping

Thank you for joining us for this month’s Technique Tuesday blog hop. The technique we are sharing today is two step stamping. As soon as I saw the theme, I knew that I wanted to pull out my Art Gallery stamp set and stamp it with the new In Colors.

I inked the Cascading Ruffles embossing folder with Orchid Oasis ink. I stamped the flower in Orchid Oasis with Starry Sky highlights.

Here is the hop participant list so that you can see what two step stamping everyone has done.

Tea Boutique Quadrangle Cut Card

I am happy to be taking part in Kylie’s Monthly International Blog Highlights again.
The theme for this hop is “Thank you”. Many people forget those simple words. I have seen people’s days brightened because someone said a simple thank you to them.
Show your appreciation to people in your lives who have inspired you, helped you or supported you by sending them a thank you card.

This is a great way to use your 6×6 inch DSP. You get 2 cards out of one sheet and have very little wastage. You can watch the replay of my Facebook live below for instructions of how to make these cards.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Wonderful World Shadow Stamping

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Encouragement”. There are so many different sentiments you can use and so many different ways in which people need a little encouragement. A card to let someone know that you are thinking about them can change a whole day from miserable to wonderful!
You may be starting your hop here, or you may have landed from Maureen Rauchfuss’ blog. Did you love her project?

I have used the flower from the Wonderful World stamp set (which is part of the Wonder World bundle and is a level 2 Sale-A-Bration item). The sentiment and background texture is from the Season Of Chic stamp set and the rough edges are easily created using the Deckled Rectangles dies.

If you want to learn how to do the shadow stamping, join me at 11:00 on Sunday morning (Australian Eastern Standard Time) on my Facebook page and I will show you howto make this card.

Be sure to complete the hop to see all the wonderful ideas that we have to share with you. The next stop is Shirley Merker. I can’t wait to see what she has created this month – she is using the cutest stamp set in the July – December mini catalogue!

Amazing Silhouettes Thank You Card

Sometimes the universe aligns itself, and things come together like they had been planned! This month’s VLOG hop was delayed a week, and the theme is “Thank You”. The date (and go live time) happened to be exactly the same as Kylie’s International blog which is also a thank you theme. Light bulb moment – use the same card!!

When I initially saw the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set, I knew that I wanted to use it with the baby wipes technique. I am very happy with the finished look. The Amazing Thanks dies are really easy to layer. Remember you can bundle them together to get a 10% discount. These dies work very happily with the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine which is currently available at a 20% discount, along with a selection of dies.
