Thoughtful Expressions Split Card

As this post goes live, I will be making my way home from an exhilarating (and exhausting) weekend that was the Stampin’ Up! convention. I am sharing a card that I did for an organised swap. Over the coming weeks I will share the swap cards that I received in return. I hope that everyone liked the card that they got from me

I demonstrated this card at an exclusive customer event last week. Below is the replay of the presentation.

International Project Highlights Winners Blog Hop – Layered Florals

I am super excited to be part of the International Highlights Top Ten Winners Blog Hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci. I was invited to participate in this hop because my card was voted in the top 10 of the entries in the International Blog Highlights. Thank you to everyone who voted for my Notes Of Nature split card.

My card for today uses the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder

I started by blending Blackberry Bliss, Orchid Oasis and Bubble Bath onto a piece of Basic White card stock.
Give the blended card stock a good spritz of water and then run it through the embossing folder.
Gently rub your Whisper White ink pad over the embossed image to add ink to the raised leaves and flowers.
I was delighted with the final result!

Thank you for joining us for our Sunday blog hop (of course in Australia this goes live at 3:00am Monday morning, but it is a great start to the working week when we wake up!) There is no theme for this hop, it is for each of us to choose what project we want to share.

I participate in a collaboration where we hold an invitation only event for our customers every quarter. I presented a water coloured card at the last event.

Technique Squad Blog Hop – Detailed Dogwood

Thank you for joining us for the Technique Squad’s monthly blog hop.
Each month we use a different technique. Hopefully our projects will inspire you to give the technique a try. This month the technique the we are show casing is “Vellum Colouring”

I have taken the most simple way of adding colour to vellum, and just stamped onto my Vellum Basics Specialty DSP. I chose this vellum as it has the texture on it which adds a lovely background to my stamping. As I started writing this post, I realised that I have used the same stamp set that I used for last month’s whitewashing technique. (If you missed that one, you can see it here). This shows that I really love this stamp set, and that it is extremely versatile and works with a number of techniques! This is a level 2 Sale-A-Bration item and can be redeemed for free when you spend $180. An added bonus is that it coordinates with the Petal Park Builder Punch.

Hop around and see how the other ladies have to coloured their vellum.

Sweet Treats Blog Hop – Cake fancy

We have a delicious blog hop for you today – the theme is Sweet Treats. During my first look through the new mini catalogue, I know that I had to have the Cake Fancy stamp set. I participated in a virtual catalogue launch and used that stamp set. This is the card I presented:

I’m not sure if I saw it somewhere or if I came up with a new idea, but this is the inside of the card. I love the look of it, so I will be using it often for my future cards!

Christmas Blog Hop – Merriest Trees Stack, Cut & Shuffle card

This is a very busy time of the year! For today’s hop we are sharing what we are currently busy doing. I would like to think by now that all my Christmas cards would be making their way to their new homes. Unfortunately, I am very behind this year and am still busy writing messages in my cards. I am hoping that I have enough made enough cards to send out to everyone.

I had lots of fun making cards using the stack, cut and shuffle technique. It feels like I am getting more cards for less effort. Below is a video showing how I made these cards.

Technique Squad Blog Hop – Masking with Abundant Beauty

I am happy to be joining the Technique Squad’s monthly blog hop.
Each month we will use a different technique. Hopefully our projects will inspire you to give the technique a try. This month the technique the we are show casing is stenciling. I am really excited about this hop as one of my favourite products in the September – December mini catalogue are the Abundant Beauty Masks. I love working with these and every card comes out looking fabulous!

This card was inspired by Michelle Grech. She used the masks to make poinsettia looking flowers and I had to give it a try. I used Poppy Parade, Real Red and cherry Cobbler ink on the petals, Lemon Lime Twist and Pecan pie for the centres and Granny Apple Green for the hounds tooth pattern on the side.

I added a bit of a flower on the insert.

Hop around and see what stenciling projects the others have to share with us.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Coffee With Friends

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! This month we are focusing on Ribbon.

I wrapped the Bubble Bath ribbon from the Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack around my Basic Black card stock trying to keep the ribbon somewhat straight and evenly spaced.

The one thing I cannot do without is coffee! Therefore Coffee With Friends had to become one of my favourite stamp sets. I did cut the Countryside Corners die smaller so that it fit nicely over the centre of the ribbon. I used a selection of Stampin’ Blends to colour my ladies.

Be sure to hop all the way around and see how the others have used ribbon in their projects. Please leave comments for us – we love getting feedback about our work!
