Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Thinking of You” with an emphasis on ladies.
You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has something exciting to share with us!

This theme at this time of the year, would have to lead us to be thinking about Mother’s Day. I have chosen to use the beautiful Fine Art Floral Suite. If you know me, you will find this card quite unusual, as aside from the sentiment (which is inside the card) it has no stamping!

This is a fun fold card which flaps open twice, and the sentiment is inside. The sentiment is from the Dressed to Impress stamp set.

You can watch my video below for full instructions about how to create this fun fold

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Butterfly Brilliance Birthday

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Happy Birthday”. Birthdays are probably the most common reason for giving out a card.
You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has something exciting to share with us!

For my cards today, I have combined old and new. I want to use the retiring In Colours as much as possible before they are gone. Although they are not the exact colours, the blue and green butterflies in the Butterfly Bijou DSP work well with Pretty Peacock, and the pink co-ordinates with Rococo Rose. I used Textured Essentials stamp set for the background stamping.

I always decorate the inside of my cards (and envelopes to match too!). I stamped some butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp on the Rococo Rose card, and used the same Textured Essentials stamp as I used on the front of the card with some of the wings from the side of the Butterfly Bijou DSP on the Pretty Peacock card. The sentiment is from the Gorgeous Posies stamp set.

My project is a quick and easy card which showcases the beautiful Flower and Field DSP This paper has beautiful designs, and is my favourite Sale-A-Bration DSP. The sentiment is from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set. The butterfly is a sneak peek and is cut out using the brilliant Wings dies. This is part of the Butterfly Bouquet suite which will be available from the 3rd March. (Apologies for the shiny butterfly body, I couldn’t get the photo without the light reflecting off the gold foil sheet)

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Shirt Gift Pouch using In Good Taste DSP

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Gift Packaging”. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has such great packaging ideas!

My project is a quick and cute gift pouch. The only supplies that you need are DSP, ribbon and adhesive. Watch the video below for directions to make them. I did the brown one in the video, although my picture has the tie tied properly. I am sorry that I had stopped recording, because it was so funny with my husband with a tie around his neck showing me how to tie the knot, and me trying to replicate it with the ribbon!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Curvy Christmas Card

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “December Holidays”. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. Didn’t she have a great project?

I am using the Curvy Christmas stamp set again along with the Classic Christmas DSP. Aren’t human beings ridiculous? Give us a straight stamp and we want to curve it! This sentiment stamp is curved, so of course I had to pull it straight! The DSP pack has Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand (used in this card) and Shaded Spruce as the colour palate. I also used the Brushed Metallic cardstock

My card gives a sneak peek of a new bundle that will be coming in the new catalogue, and is available as a pre-order from 3 November, it is called Quite Curvy. This is a really fun stamp set and I can see that i will be getting lots of use from the dies. I have used the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP. The Autumn punch pack will punch out the leaves and acorns on the DSP.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Time To Celebrate with All Dressed Up

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Happy Birthday”. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. I always love seeing what she has created to share with us!

If you didn’t start your hop here, you might think you are in the wrong hop, because I am completely off theme. I got this month’s theme wrong!! Apologies to my fellow bloggers for my error, but I hope that you enjoy my off-theme design in any case.

We are still in stage 4 lock down, and as you do when you can’t go out, I went browsing online! I saw a few different handbags which were plain in front and had a patterned or textured side. I immediately decided that I wanted to recreate that in paper. I made the bag using the All Dressed Up dies. The card is made using a note card (so that it fits inside the bag) and the Hooray To You stamp set. Once again the In Good Taste DSP has landed up in my hands. I am going to try it out using the Rococo Rose DSP too!

Paper crafting blog hop – Forest Greenery Suite

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Suite Spotlight”. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. Wasn’t her project fantastic?

A suite is a range of products which are easier to order because you only need one item number and you get the entire suite! This makes ordering so easy when you love everything and have to have it all! I have chosen the Forever Greenery suite to make my card. The name is a bit of a misnomer, as there is no green in my card. Did anyone say that ferns can’t be pink?

As the DSP is shades of green, I haven’t used any of it in my card. The elements of the suite that I have used are the Forever Fern bundle, Greenery embossing folders (this comes as a set of 2 narrower embossing folders), Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty DSP (you are going to want this) and the gold twine from the Forever Greenery Trim combo pack. As you can see you cannot choose not to have any item from this suite, you NEED them all. The colour combination is Smokey Slate, Rococo Rose and Magenta Madness.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Herringbone Technique

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Designer Series Paper Spotlight”. You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. Wasn’t her project fantastic?

I was recently shown how to do the herring bone technique, and what better way is there to show off the beautiful DSP in the new catalogue? You need very few supplies for this technique – a piece to place your DSP onto, some adhesives sheets and DSP strips cut to 1cm. You can use whatever sentiment appeals to you. I wanted to keep it small so that I didn’t cover too much of the design. The sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set and cut out with a stitched oval.

You can choose a specific colour scheme, or use each V in a different colour. I have a video showing how I made these cards, so pop back tomorrow to get the tutorial.
