Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Sale-A-Bration”. If you are in the South Pacific, you will be aware that we still don’t have all of the Sale-A-Bration items available. We don’t know the timing, but they will be arriving on our shores eventually. If you can’t get the products for all the projects that you see in the hop, don’t despair, add them to your wish list and keep an eye out. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear about availability. My card uses the super cute Awesome Otters and Simply Marbleous DSP which is available in Australia!

I stamped and coloured the otters and the hats and then fussy cut them and stuck the onto the circles. I have another otter swimming around on the inside of the card

Be sure to complete the hop to see all the wonderful ideas that we have to share with you. The next stop is Annette. I can’t wait to see what she has created this month.

White Wash Water Colouring with In The Moment

I have been having so much fun using the In The Moment Stamp Set. In a previous blog post I showed how I used paper piecing to colour in the lady’s dress. If you missed that post you can see it here. In my Facebook live on Sunday, I showed how I water coloured the image using white washing.

Here are another couple of cards using the same technique

Awesome Otters

Thank you for joining us for the November Blogging Friends hop. The theme for this hop is “Island Vibes, Rainbows and Otters – Oh My! As you might have gathered by this fun title, our focus on this hop is Sale-A-Bration January – February 2022. Unfortunately for us in the South Pacific, because of the current world wide supply issues (thank you Covid!) there are a large number of the Sale-A-Bration items that haven’t landed on our shores as yet. Don’t despair, they are on the water and Stampin’ Up! will make them available for redemption as soon as they land. If you love some of the projects made by our hoppers in other markets, pin the project and add the supplies to your wish list – you will be able to redeem them eventually. For my card, I have used the stamp set that is available the super cute Awesome Otters!

I have used the Simply Marbleous DSP (also a Sale-A-Bration item which is available in Australia) to complete this card.

If you want the instructions to make this card, join me for a Facebook live on Sunday (9 January) at 10:00. You can like my Facebook page here, and you will be able to see the event.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope everyone has a fun and creative weekend. Be sure to hop around and see what everyone else has created.

Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop – In The Moment with Simply Marbleous DSP

Welcome to the December 2021 Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop. You may be starting at my blog or landed here from another one.
Our theme this month is “My Favourite Stampin’ Up! product”. I find it very difficult to narrow it down to my favourite product. I think it depends on my mood, the day and what type pf project I am working on.
At the moment, I am loving new stuff. Today my cards will be giving you a sneak peek of a new stamp set, a new Sale-A-Bration offering and some new embellishments – they come together to make my favourite (for the moment) cards!

In The Moment stamp set has 3 different images – the one I have used for my cards, a lady looking out of the window holding a coffee cup and the third one is a lady relaxing on a bed with her dog reading a book. The sentiments offer words of encouragement. This is a lovely stamp set to send a card to a friend.

The DSP is called Simply Marbleous, and you will definitely want to chose that as a
Sale-A-Bration reward. The pack has pink, blue, green, yellow, purple and green sheets in it. One side has a soft marble look and the other is a darker shade with lots of swirls.

Stamp the lady into your circle. Stamp another one onto a post it note and cut it out. Cover the image on the circle with the post it note and colour over ith with Balmy Blue and a blending brush. Stamp the image onto your DSP and cut out the dress. Be sure to cut the bottom of the dress longer so that it will come down to the bottom of the circle. I used the grey and yellow DSP for the hats, but you could use the same colour as the dress. Stick the DSP onto your image on the circle and colour the rest of it with your Stampin’ blends,

For this card I cut two strips at 1.0cm (3/8″) and one strip 1.5cm (3/4″).

For the second card i decided to layer the design onto a Blushing Bride card base. I cut my DSP 9.5cm x 9.5cm (3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″) and then cut it from corner to corner to make 2 triangles. The finishing bling is the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Gems.

I hope that you are having some down time from work, and looking through your new catalogues and writing up your wish list. You are currently visiting Tracy Held at Trace Of Creativity in Australia. Please see the list below & hop through all of the people on the list to see all our projects.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop – Gift Packaging

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! Our theme this month is “Gift Packaging”. Whether you are still wrapping your Christmas presents, or giving a birthday or just because present, I am sure that you will find inspiration here.

This project was inspired by Debbie Blake, a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Western Australia. All that you need to make this is a square piece of DSP (this one uses Beauty of the Earth DSP) and a library clip. To make it, all you need to do is fold your paper!

If you use Christmas paper, you can tie a ribbon through the library clip and it can double up as a Christmas tree ornament. These are photos showing the top and bottom of the bag

Here is a quick video which will explain how to fold the paper

Be sure to complete the hop to see all the wonderful ideas that we have to share with you. The next stop is Annette. I can’t wait to see what she has created this month.

12 Weeks of Christmas – Week 10

I recently took part in a Facebook event which was focused on Christmas projects. My project is a gift box which is filled with tags and notelets. It uses the Whimsy & Wonder suite which is retiring. The stamps and dies are still available, but unfortunately the DSP is sold out. You can use any DSP that you have on hand to make up the project. It does take a bit of time to complete the project, but the results are worth the effort. I have given a few boxes as gifts and the recipients have been super excited to receive them.

Here is a Facebook live video to make the box

Here is the video to make the tags and notelets to go inside the box

12 Weeks of Christmas – Week 8

I hope that you are well on your way to having all your Christmas cards made. If they haven’t been posted, it is time to get them into the mail. Here is another card to add to the collection

This is an easy card suing the Christmas Trees dies and Expressions in Ink DSP. I have mixed everything into this card, the sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set. It isn’t showing up too9 well in the photo, but the trees have some Wink of Stella brushed over them to add the finishing sparkle.

Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop – Christmas Cheer

Thank you for joining us for the November 2021 Stampin’ Creative blog hop. The theme for this month is “Christmas Cheer”. I have decided to use the Ever Eden DSP for my card. Remember, this suite is a pre-order for the January – June 2022 mini catalogue, and the DSP is only available as part of the pre-order. If you want some, you need to place your order ASAP as it is only available while stocks last.

Last month after World Card Making Day, we had world card sending week. I received this card from Leona Bourgault in the USA, and I loved everything about the card, so I had to try and CASE it.

For my card, I inked up my Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder with Soft Succulent ink and then ran it through my Cut & Emboss machine. Using a standard card base, I cut 5cm (2″) off one edge and then cut that strip into my 3 squares.

Measurements:
Base (Soft Succulent) – 14.9cm x 16.0cm scored at 10.5cm (5 1/2″ x 2 1/4″ scored at 4 1/4″)
Cut the strip that you cut off into 3 equal squares 4.95cm (1 7/8″)
Insert (Basic White) – 14.4cm x 10.0cm (5 1/4″ x 4″)
Basic White (tree embossed) – 5.0cm x 14.4cm (2″ x 5 1/4″)
DSP – 5.0cm x 14.4cm (2″ x 5 1/4″)
– 3 pieces 4.5cm x 4.5cm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/8″)

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Below is the list of all the hop participants. Be sure to visit them all to see what summer dreams they have to share. We love hearing from you, so please leave us comments to let us know what you think about our projects.
