I love pinks, so that was an easy combination for me to work with. I used all 6 colours, and florals, so I was inspired by the complete picture (although my flowers are different)!

I have recently found my masks, and find that I am loving using them

This is a VW fold card, so it opens out like this:

Is there something that you don’t recognise in this card? I have a sneak peek on one of the dies that is coming in the new mini catalogue. It looks like a gate or fence in this card, but it can also be used as a bridge and is from the Playing In The Rain dies which is from the Rain Or Shine suite

I didn’t manage to incorporate Pumpkin Pie into my card, but I got all the others

This was one of those cards that used lots of different products: Happiness Abounds bundle, Basic Borders dies and Eden dies. The ribbon is the White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon that I smooshed into my Evening Evergreen ink pad. I repeated the edging on the insert

Sometimes when I look at a colour challenge an idea just pops into my head. other times I write the colours down on my grid paper and look at them while I am stamping until I get an idea of how to use them. This was one of the times where I had the list written down and suddenly the colours said “wild flowers”

To get the different colours on the single stamp, I applied my Stampin’ Write Markers directly onto the stamp.

Again, I used the colours for my card. (I did deviate ever so slightly in the colours – his nose is Petal Pink and the leaves on the flowers are Mossy Meadow.)

There are lots of sneak peeks in this card – the gnome and toadstool are from the Kindest Gnomes bundle. This is in an adorable suite in the July – December mini catalogue. The big flower on the side is fussy cut from the Wonderful World DSP. This is a level 2
Sale-A-Bration and comes together with the Wonderful World stamp set which I used to stamp the flower inside the card. The birds and stamped grass are from the On The Horizon stamp set which is retiring at the end of June. I water coloured the toadstool with my inks and water painters. The finishing touch is the doorknob which is a Brushed Metallic Dot

Crafty Challenge Blog Hop – in Colors with Alphabest

Welcome to another crafty challenge blog hop. This time, we have a colour challenge. This month the challenge is to show off the new In Colors.

A couple of weeks ago I spent a lovely afternoon with Genna Gifford. Genna is an amazing person and often invites me to her team events even though I am not a member of her team, If you don’t know Genna’s work, have a look at the Facebook page, The Stamper’s Mess. This is one of the cards that I made while I was with her.

As soon as I saw the card I knew that it was perfect for this blog hop. I must admit, it was a bit of a challenge the get the spelling correct while I was alternating the colours!! The best part about crafting with someone else is that you get a chance to play with products that you don’t own. Of course it does mean that the ever increasing wish list has some more stuff added to it!

Have fun hopping around to see how everyone else have used these fantastic colours.

I chose to use the colours, and this is my card:

I used the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set heat embossed the butterflies with black embossing powder. I used a spare piece of paper to cut out the butterflies with the
Brilliant Wings dies, and then used it as a mask. I paced it over my embossed image, and using my blending brushes applied the different colour inks.

I usually work with the colours, but this time I have used the picture inspiration too.

I used my Blending Brushes to apply Blushing Bride, Polished Pink and Merry Merlot ink to Basic White card stock. I then cut out 2 tree tops using the Beautiful Trees dies. The background is embossed with the Bark 3D embossing folder. I used the scraps of the blended paper to cut out some little birds for the inside of the card.

I have again used the colours to make my card

I can’t seem to get away from reverse stamping lately. If you don’t know how to do this you can watch my video here. It does use a different stamp set, but will show you the technique. I used the Sale-A-Bration Sunshine & Rainbows and Simply Marbleous DSP to paper piece the dresses and hats.

I did the background by cutting some clouds using the Basic Borders dies and used that as a stencil and used my blending brush with Night Of Navy ink over the die cut
