Product Of The Month Blog Hop – Glow Of Harvest DSP with Butterfly Flight

Welcome to our Product Of The Month (POM) blog hop. If you haven’t heard of POM yet, this is what it is all about. Stampin’ Up! has started a new monthly promotion. Every month there will be a new product. To get your hands on the product, all you need to do is place an order. If your order is $125 (in Australia – the $ amount will differ depending on your market) then you can add the Product Of The Month to your order for only $9. We won’t know in advance what the POM will be. It could be a stamp set, embellishments, ribbon, dies or any other paper crafting product. No matter what it is, paying $9 is a bargain!

This month’s POM is a pack of DSP – Glow Of Harvest. The colours in this DSP are soft and pretty and the Very Vanilla background has a gorgeous shimmer. It is one sided, and is thicker than the double sided DSP. This will work really well with 3D projects. If you place an order with me and purchase the POM stamp set, I will send you a tutorial featuring projects using this stamp set. This is in addition to my usual thank you tutorial bundle.

The butterfly and leaves are from the Butterfly Flight bundle. I didn’t use the hot foil dies this time – I used the cutting dies and the masks. I have also added some sneak peeks from the new September – December catalogue. The embossing folder is called Softly Woven and the centre square is from a new set of dies called Tile Garden dies. These are amazing! The are the same as the Spotlight On Nature dies, but square.

Hop around and see what the others have done with this gorgeous paper.

Product Of The Month Blog Hop – Painted Illusions DSP

This month’s POM is a pack of beautiful Designer Series Paper. I am using this DSP to make my swaps for OnStage next month. I am making little treat bags for a single Tim Tam biscuit. The design is fairly economical, I can get twelve bag fronts out of one sheet of DSP.

I made the bag in my Facebook live. You can watch the replay below. This bag is much easier to make using imperial measurements. I do have metric, but they are really awkward. I’m going to give the imperial measurements in this post. If you do want the metric, contact me and I will send them to you.

Measurements:
Bag back (card stock) 5 ½ x 4”.
Score the short side at 1 and 1 ½”.
Score the long side at ¼, 1 ¼, 4 ¼ and 5 ¼”.
Score the long side at ¾ and 4 ¾ up to the first score line.
Score the diagonal lines to make the triangles.
Bag base (card stock) 3 x 1 ½” scored at 1” on the short side.
DSP (Painted Illusions) 3 x 3”.

Card Swap Chain Blog Hop – Christmas Greenery

We have recently finished another round of the “Card Swap Chain”. It is a card version of what is called “Chinese Whispers” in Australia (we called it “Broken Telephone” in South Africa). Each of us designed a card (round 1) and sent it off to one of the other participants. That person CASE-d (Copy And Share Everything / Copy And Selectively Edit) the card and send their version on to the next person. The card made its way around until finally a version came home to the maker. We are now doing a series of blog hops for each of the card designs to share the fun and amazement at the evolution.

My card is the last one in this chain. The first card was created by Julia Quinn. I suggest you start at her blog and then follow through until you land back here to see how the cards changed.

Below are the pictures of the card closed and the writing panels on the back

Sometimes the cards change so much that if you only saw the first and the last card, you wouldn’t think that they are on the same chain. This one kept is original form with just the decorating changing as it went along.
Hop around and see everyone’s version of this fun card.

Festive Friday #FF0187 – Notes & Totes

Thanks for joining us for the another Festive Friday challenge. Have you ever played along with Festive Friday? There is a new challenge every second Friday. The challenge has an overall theme plus an inspiration list. You choose at least three of the inspiration elements and make a project. Your project can be a card, 3D item, or scrapbook layout and can reflect the main theme or just use the inspiration elements and have nothing to do with the theme. This is the inspiration list for this fortnight.

The theme for this fortnight is World Chocolate Day – which has to be one of the best days EVER!! My card used brown, cream, foil and chocolate from the inspo list.

There isn’t much stamping in this card. The sentiment is from the Notes & Totes and goes extremely well with a slab of chocolate. If you would like to make your own chocolate card, join me on my Facebook page at 10:00 on Sunday morning and I will show you how to do it.

Hop around and see what other delicious inspiration is being shared today.

Funky Folds Blog Hop – Pretty Florals Surprise Pop Up Card

I am excited to be participating in this month’s funky folds blog hop. I LOVE fun folds and this is a group of like-minded paper crafters with same same passion for making cards with
funky folds.
Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way” This hop features cards that are not the usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style.
All Blog Hops have an ‘anything goes’ theme using any type of ‘funky’ card fold.

When the card is closed it looks like a standard pretty card.

The WOW! happens when the card opens and a piece pops up!

I participate in a monthly fun fold tutorial group collaboration. Each month we have one fold with instructions and 12 different samples of that fold. This is this month’s fold.
You can find out more about the tutorial subscription here.

Thanks for joining us for the another Festive Friday challenge. Have you ever played along with Festive Friday? There is a new challenge every second Friday. Your project can be a card, 3D item, or scrapbook layout and can reflect the main theme or just use the inspiration elements and have nothing to do with the theme. This is the inspiration list for this fortnight.

The theme for this week is National Pink Shirt Day which represents anti-bullying.
My card is a fun fold card. The inspo items I used are pink, glossy dots, words of kindnesws, hugs and of course fun fold. When it is closed it looks like a standard card

When it opens it has a panel inside which flaps up to reveal the writing insert.

Join me for my Facebook live at 10:00 on Sunday morning and I’ll show you how to make this style cards.

Hop around and see what the others used for their inspiration
