Ukraine Fund Raising Tutorial Bundle

I am sure that we are all completely astounded by the events taking place in the Ukraine. I find it difficult to believe that this is happening in 2022, I would like to think that the world learnt from the war 80 years ago, but it appears that history is repeating itself. The people there are having a really hard time, and need some assistance.

As you are aware, I am part of an awesome team that puts together a monthly tutorial bundle to say thank you for your order. We are creating a special tutorial bundle of 13 cards with a blue and yellow theme to support the work of the Red Cross in Ukraine.

The tutorial will be ready for distribution on the 21st March, but you can pre-order your copy now. The cost of this tutorial is AU$22 and all proceeds from the sale of the tutorials by all the Creativity Abounds Team will go to the Red Cross.

Please email at TraceOfCreativity@outlook.com me if you would like to order this tutorial and I will let you have payment details.

Let us hope this craziness ends soon. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if I can help with your purchases or if you have a crafty question.

Stay safe from all of us at the Creativity Abounds team

12 Weeks of Christmas – Week 3 using Whimsy & Wonder and a colour challenge

A few weeks ago I did a blog hop with the group of ladies that are part of my monthly tutorial bundle. In my (not so humble) opinion, it was an amazing hop and I want to make ALL the projects! If you missed it, you can see it here. Maheswari Rajaguru’s card was one that I have been wanting to CASE. To see Maheswari’s original card click here.

This is the colour palette for the latest Colour Inkspiration challenge. Whne I saw this, I knew that I wanted to CAE the card in these colours. They are seriously non-traditional Christmas coulours, but what do you think?

Paper Pumpkin Christmas card class

As we approach the end of a crazy year, I have had questions about when we are making Christmas cards.  If times were normal, we would have already done a class.  Following on from the success of the Sending Sunshine paper Pumpkin kit, Stampin’ Up! has brought the Christmas kit to Australia.

This kit makes 8 cards (4 each of 2 different designs).  The video below shows the unboxing, and you can see what comes in the kit

I will be running this as a Zoom class again on the 21st November at 2:00.  The cost of the class will be $50 ($65 if you need the acrylic block for stamping).  This will give you the Paper Pumpkin kit which will be delivered to you door plus the card stock to make some additional projects to use up the additional supplies in your kit.

I am participating in a Black Friday event with 3 other demonstrators – Shirley Merker is from the USA, Sandra Roberts is in the UK and Elizabeth Green is in Canada.  The way that this event will run is that we are each doing 2 tutorials (one card and one 3D project.  There will be a PDF and a video tutorial.  I will be online (Zoom link) for 2 hours on the 27th, and we can craft together doing projects in the class, or anything else that you want to work on or we can just have a social catch up.

The cost of the class with be $25, or it will be free with a $35 order.  If you sign up for the Paper Pumpkin class, you will get the Black Friday class as a bonus.

To allow time for the kits to be delivered, please contact me to confirm your place and order your kit by the 14th November.

You can be anywhere in Australia to participate in the class, looking forward to seeing you there

Artistry DSP gift bag – VLOG Hop

It is time for another VLOG hop! Bearing in mind that the DSP sale starts tomorrow, we are all featuring projects using DSP. I have just realised that I used the same DSP in the last VLOG hop, so you might be forgiven for thinking that this is the only paper in my stash! (You would be completely wrong, but…)

This is the gift bag that I have made with the DSP, click on the video below to see how it is made

Covid-19 Product Give Back

Stampin’ Up! is committed to making a difference in our global communities and caring about people first. As part of our Making a Difference program we’re offering a product giveback opportunity to support organisations that are helping COVID-19 frontline responders and communities vulnerable to the pandemic.

The Share Sunshine PDF Download is a digital stamp set that’s packed with both lighthearted and heartfelt sentiments and imagery relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we’re currently experiencing. You can use the download in your cardmaking and papercrafting projects. Simply print the imagery on cardstock and cut it out using our Paper Trimmer, punches, or dies. Since we are physically distanced from each other, now is a perfect time to share sunshine with our friends and family by sending cards!

The cost is US$12, which converts to about AU$19, and every cent goes to charities. When you purchase you can choose between The World Health Organization’s COVID-Solidarity Response Fund and United Way Worldwide’s COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund or split the payment evenly between the 2.

Gold Edged Christmas Card

Welcome to our monthly Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop, in which demonstrators from around the world share their latest projects. This month’s theme is ‘December Holidays’. You might have arrived here from Shirley’s blog. Wasn’t her project lovely?

The card that I have done today is quick and easy. I used the foil edged cards and envelopes for that gorgeous gold edge around the card, and dug into my DSP stash. If you want to make different variations, you can use the silver edged cards and any of the pretty Christmas DSP in the holiday catalogue.

Don’t forget to stamp the envelope and the inside of the card so that everything is matching.

These are the products that I used for this card

Pick a Colour…

I hope you are enjoying our Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Blog Hop featuring Sale-a-Bration 2019 products. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe are participating, so we have a wide array of fun projects to share with you! You may have arrived from Shirley Merker’s blog. She always has a fabulous project to share!

I found myself marvelling at the peculiarities of human nature (specifically my own, but I’m sure everyone will be able to identify.) I was looking at the beautiful Sale-A-Bration Botanical Butterflies DSP, filled with gorgeous colours, but none of them were ‘talking’ to me. So how do you get DSP in a colour that appeals to you? Well, take one of the black-and-white designs and colour it yourself.

This enables you to have your DSP in whatever colour appeals to you on the day. I used the colours that match the Organdy Ribbon Combo pack, except for the green, which is Call Me Clover.

Did you notice the new punch that I used on these cards? This is part of a limited edition set of products that will be available from the 1st to the 31st March. Be sure not to miss out on these.

Below are the products that I used for these cards.

Thanks for hopping with us each month. Now click on the next image to hop over to Sue Boerner’s blog and see the fun project she designed.

If you get lost along the way, here is the complete list of stops on the hop:

Lasting Lily

https://su-media.s3.amazonaws.com/media/catalogs/Sale-A-Bration%202019/20190103_SAB19-1_en-SP.pdf

Sale-A-Bration is the happiest time of the Stampin’ Up! year. For every $90 that you purchase, you can choose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. If you would like to see what is inside the catalogue, click on the link above, or send me a message and I will send a paper copy to you.

There is a lot of lovely stuff in the catalogue, but one of my favourite stamp sets is the Lasting Lily. There are several thoughtful sentiments in this set, and the flowers are beautiful. This is one of the Distinktive stamps, so the image stamps with lighter and darker sections, all using one stamp.

I decided to try and stamp the lily in black, and I am delighted with the way that it turned out. Remember that you can’t buy this stamp set, as it is only available as a Sale-A-Bration option.

If you live in Australia and don’t have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I would love to help you with any products that you would like to purchase, or you can shop in my online store.

I have done a few projects using this stamp set, so I will be sharing more of them with you soon.

Circle Journal returns

My journal has completed its circle and come home to me. (It actually arrived a few weeks ago, but with being away and then trying to get back to normal, I didn’t get around to blogging it).

This was the theme for my journal.

I started the journal off with the Black Ice technique. If you missed my post on how to do this, you can view it here.

Below are the cards that the other ladies made according to my theme.
This one was made by Jenny Habraken and uses heat embossing with water colouring

Donna Chugg used the cracked glass method.

Tash Martin chose to apply markers directly to the stamp rather than using an ink pad.

Pamela Bowron made a card using triple time stamping.

Rachel Pine used the emboss resist technique.

Leigh Carter Shaw used the baby wipes technique.

This stunning card made by Terri Kirrkie makes spectacular use of the masking technique.

The final card was made by Beryl Crisp and uses the rock and roll technique.

I am absolutely delighted with my journal! All the ladies did a fantastic job with making the cards! Over the next few weeks, I will give the instructions for each of these different techniques and we can all try them out.
